Guest guest
Stan, not to be disrespectful of the doctor you are speaking of because I think I might know of this person and find her a lovely individual as well. But I have a bit of a different take on it. I work with parents on Autism Answer and have now for a year and a half. Part of what I do as a parent is simply support the parent trying to heal their child. What their decision is for treatmeant is up to them. But I do try to point out the genetic make-up for the guide line to follow. Unfortunately not all those parents decide to go full force Yasko. Instead they follow their physicians " Yasko protocol " , which isn't her protocol at all. It's not even close to hers on some occasions. As I said that is the parents decision. But I find it hard to judge Dr. Yaskos RNA's when they are not actually following her protocol but using her RNA's as a side supplement. Now, don't anyone panic that knows me, because our conversations are confidential. Totally confidential. But let's face it, we as parents talk to one another and WE know that not many out there are sticking to just one protocol. I mean even the parents who are seeing the doctor I see will say " Don't tell Dr.____ but I'm using some of Hicks, Bradstreets, Woellers (etc)...... ideas too. Hey! what ever works!! But if it doesn't work you can't pin the failure on one particular supplement or protocol. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of parents that I've dealt with on autism answer, honestly I've not had one tell me that they've come back with high liver toxicity while following Dr. Yasko's protocol with the RNA's. However, I have had parents with high liver enzymes that were " quietly using " other supplements, other protocols, other diets contrary to gentics (SCD for example). I've also seen children come back with high liver enzyme after using sulpher based, or lipid based detox with previously reported liver toxicity and then starting on Step two of the protocol with no caution of building up the organs or the body and not even considering using the protocol as it was intended to be used. I think this might be a case of people thinking they are buying a bottle of something simple that will cure their woes. But unless they are following the protocol it is not really fair to claim a common denominator being the RNA's. Lot's of parents are trying RNAs and lot's of parents are using Valtrex so whose to say it's not the Valtrex? Or fill in the blank, you get my point. I tried to think about your post tonight objectively as well as the emails I received tonight with concern. I beleive that if the doctor you are speaking of is the doctor I'm thinking of she might have just been trying to make a point. The same point that I try to make with parents especially old timers with autims. The Methylation, and Metals RNA are not just water drops. They do cause tremendous detox not high liver enzymes. So if a child has high liver enzymes and has been using DMSA, DMPS, VALTREX, etc. then hitting that kid with one more bomb isn't going to make the liver better. Detox of any kind puts a strain on the liver and other organs. But the bottom line is that Ive not had one report out of hundreds and hundreds, that the RNA's are causing liver toxicity. I hope this helps to alleviate some of the fears of the parents that I personally work with. Thanks Stan, I know you were not suggesting other wise and were just reporting to be observant as we all should. mom to Hamish > > > > I know this is off topic, but Stan, you mentioned something about > this and I was concerned. Guest guest
Hi , Let's just agree to disagree. (I'm just kidding... joking I'm glad you don't see raised enzymes using the Yasko protocol. If it happened all the time, I'm sure we'd all know about it. I think the tone of my email was just communicating one piece of information that I heard from someone that I highly respect. I'm not advocating anyone stopping RNA or panicing. I even said if you see raised enzyme levels it's not the end of the world... you just change your approach and the liver usually settles right now from what I understand. Obviously you have seen posative things from RNA and you firmly believe in it and I respect that and I really have no agenda. Like you said, I'm just passing information along... and I was really careful not to amplify it. I just wanted to put that little piece of information on record in case others see something similar. Tomorrow it will be forgotten unless we see more examples of it... which from what you are saying probably won't happen. The only little subtle thing that I object to is how you threw Valtrex in the mix. It felt juwst a bit passive-aggressive to me like " knock my RNA, I'll knock your Valtrex, " but I think we are speaking respectfully and on the same team so I can overlook it without obsessing over it or dragging it along, or obsessing over it... or... Sorry, what was I saying? Anyway... In reality, if we are doing the right things to get toxins out of our child, there will be some added work that the liver and kidneys will have to do. That's a fact, and there's no way around it. Of course, that's what the liver and kidneys are there for, so let's not kid ourselves. When we use products to encourage detox we should be aware of tid bits of information that might tell us how toxic the product might be either individually or in combination with other things, in higher doses and lower, etc. If we do hear things, I would rather talk about it calmly and openly rather than burry it under the rug because we may love the product or the person working with it... RNA, TD-DMPS, Valtrex, MB12 nasal spray -- whatever. If you look closely at my post, I was very careful how I said what I said, looking at both sides of it, qualifying what type of information it was, etc. I don't think anyone should change their approach because of that piece of information, it's just something to put on record and to keep your eye open about... nothing more. I hope that helps. - Stan > > > > > > I know this is off topic, but Stan, you mentioned something > about > > this and I was concerned. Guest guest
, What an excellent post. I think much of what you say about Yasko's protocol can be applied to many things in biomedical approaches. I am always careful when a parent says, " I tried this and it didn't work " or " I tried this and it was brillian " to discern what exactly it is they tried. Often parents speak of a protocol and don't mean at all what I think they are meaning, or what the person who developed the protocol intended. We see this in chelation protocols all the time.. For many of our kids, the recovery is going to be in the details. We need to be clear on these details. Thanks for your post. And don't apologize for it being long--that's the only way details can be revealed sometimes. Guest guest
Thank you for going into more detail. I just posted because I recieved emails from parents. No Knocks on Valtrex! I'm using it too! It just popped into my head as I was writing because that's the only thing I'm using that my doc makes me check the liver for. Guess I wasn't thinking of how it sounded. No knocks intended folks. Valtrex is turning many children around. Thank you for elaborating even further; it was not my concern really just throwing out a bit more information for parents who are bit more leary, must be the full moon. Respectfully, > > > > > > > > I know this is off topic, but Stan, you mentioned something > > about > > > this and I was concerned. Guest guest
Thank you Anita, you are very kind. I was hoping that I wasn't sounding defensive or anything. I too am confused about protocol's as everyone does them so differently! No one can figure out what's what. One day I hope it will get more organized, but I think we are on our way!! > > > > > > > > I know this is off topic, but Stan, you mentioned something > > about > > > this and I was concerned.
