What you said: LISINOPRIL I had the

exact same problems with Lisinopril.

http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=76180 & name=LISINOPRIL

I wish I had read up on Lisinopril before I took it. The history

of Lisinopril is frightening. Lisinopril was discovered because

scientists noticed that the Brazilian Pit snake venom had

vasodilating properties, something in the peptides. To make a long

story short, Lisinopril has some synthetic properties from the

venom of the Brazil snake. I dont wish to ingst any real or

synththetic properties of Brazilian Pit Viper snakes.

Now I know some of you are skeptical of this so I am including

evidence!!!!!

"Incidentally, all of the ACE inhibitors happen to be synthesized

from the toxic venom of the pit viper known as jararaca, found in

Brazil, Paraguay and some areas of Argentina. Scientists have long

noticed that the venom of the jararaca can cause massive bleeding

and destroy the body’s tissues, and long years were spent

researching and modifying the venom to isolate the compound that

could relax the blood vessels without injuring them. The compound

teprotide was finally isolated, and the first ACE inhibitor that

marketed it was Captopril. The other inhibitors are modified

versions of Captopril, including Lisinopril, which is sold under

various brand names such as Hipril, Listril, Lopril, Prinivil,

Tensopril and Zestril. Each drug has its own unique

characteristics, and even those same drugs from different brands

may have different effects on the same person."

to hear from you guys.

i think i threw out my back and the timing of

beginning my spiro 25mg and lisinopril 10mg is just

a funky coincidence. (began it tuesday night)

it started out as normal lower back pain, i've had

before sometimes after running... buts its steadily

compounded in the past two days and now i am in the

most intense pain... its making my hamstrings go

numb in both legs and i have calf muscle spasms in

my legs.. the pain is so uncomfortable and intense i

feel a bit nauseated and have frequent hot flashes..

i am having abdominal cramping b/c of constipation

as well...

its really gotten worse this evening...

i've never thrown my back out before, but i've seen

my husband suffer several times from it. my back

does spasm when i move certin ways...

please tell me it has nothing to do with side

effects of the new medicines i am taking.
