I think we need an excel file for the NIH reports so we can all compare and study them. CE Grim MDOn Jul 27, 2012, at 9:20 PM, wrote:

Mike, Have you requested a copy of your records? I thought they sent them automatically, they don't! I found that out about a month after I came home and then it took a coupleof weeks.

They also weren't good communicating with my PCP, she waited almost 2 months. I mentioned that to the PTN advovate when I spoke with her earlier this week and she said it was a problem so I hope your PCP listens to you as well as mine does to me!

My Endo made a copy of all the lab reports (34 pages) and two 5 page summary letters. He said he could learn a lot by reviewing them and I encouraged him to share with others at the local VA Hospital.

Sounds like we had very similar testing. They scheduled my DEXA scan for 9:30 the first morninng. That ment they couldn"t start Saline suppresssion until after 10 and I didn't eat that day until after 6pm. Nurse Casey was not happy and told Dr. Moraitis so!

Great experience!

An excel file would be better than 34 pages I would think. Each person could also add their comments each day.CE Grim MDOn Jul 27, 2012, at 9:20 PM, wrote:

HI, Dr. Endo told me she would give me a copy of everything they had to date

when I checked out. I'll make sure that I follow up with the stuff they don't

have in yet.

I can make my own copies at work and will give those to my PCP when I see him in

two weeks.

I'm likely comming back sometime mid-august for AVS, and possibly a redo of the

IV saline suppression test. I could not wait untill 6:30 pm to eat. Noon was

bad enough, and my BG was getting low.

I had Nurse Casey during the day shift first week, she is fantastic.

I've already started an Excel file and entered most of the revalent data to

date, only a couple of days worth. I'm and engineer and love spreadsheets, plus

I have a LOT of time on my hands.

I broke the results into four tabs, one for the Aldo and related blood, one for

misc. blood, one for 24 urine, and one for other urine tests.

I'll post somewhere when I have the latest set of data.

Some of the samples were sent to Mayo clinic for testing, and they seam to be

taking a lot of time, so son't expect to have everything for two weeks.

It took them two months to wrap it up, how long would it take them to transfer

it all to a spreadsheet? These are all full pages from their computer.

I understood that was going to happen also but it didn't! My attending, Dr.

Moraitis, and Dr. Stratakis were headed out of town so the wrap up might have

been delayed.

That NPO until 6pm almost floored me, I'm T2DM also. It was quite an intro to

the system!

Did Casey end up getting married? (The custodian, , spilled the beans

the first day.) I took it upon myself to counsel her since I have 44 yers

experience so I gave her a hint a day. We had a lot of fun and she even came by

on her way to class to say Bye on my last day!

Yes Casey got married a few months ago. I only have 31 years experience inthe

field, but did offer a few points as well.

And FYI, I'm finding it difficult to type at 1:10am while loaded up on Dex and a

sleeping pill for some reason.

Isn't the Dex tests fun? My son showed up unexpectedly when I was in the middle

of it - we still laugh about it! (Mine may have been even more exagerated

because they had " accidently " cut my depression meds in half!)
