Guest guest
does anyone know anything about this. I saw on the internet where they blast waves into the kidney to destroy the nerves that increase bp. I have some kind of apparently untreatable high bp. I have been on all of the known bp meds with very short term slight results and recently i was told Cons then Liddles. Now it is some form of Liddles. The only thing for sure is i am salt intollerant and no bp meds inc Amolordide works more than 2 mts and in most cases only lowers the top #. Spiro had the best short term results but only lasted 3 weeks. I have no signs of damage from high bp yet but I am following exactally the path of my grandfather which means i have 8 more years to figure this out. I am going to a research clinic but so far the results are also very short term. I tried dashing and it worked but my bp was getting too imbalanced averaging 130/106 with some #s at 120/114 so I had to ease up on the dashing. Currently my bp is 165/108 with Amoloride 20mg
Guest guest
Sound like a very bad idea to destroy kidney nerves that are there to keep track of chemical changes and based on info signals adjust the bp...it looks like killing all the police in order to have no criminals in perisons! Guest guest
That procedure is meant to shatter the actual stones so they can be passed out, thus avoiding surgery to remove them. Guest guest
Thats a diff type. I googled Untreatable high bp and the kedney wave info came up. It said it was preformed on 100 people with very high results in lowering bp. No long term information is available on later side effects. It stops the kidney nerves from raising bp. I think its too new to consider yet but the option exists. > > That procedure is meant to shatter the actual stones so they can be passed > out, thus avoiding surgery to remove them. > > > > Val > > > > From: hyperaldosteronism > [mailto:hyperaldosteronism ] On Behalf Of MedStat > > > > Sound like a very bad idea to destroy kidney nerves that are there to keep > track of chemical changes and based on info signals adjust the bp...it looks > like killing all the police in order to have no criminals in perisons! > > Max! > > | > |does anyone know anything about this. Guest guest
This is not about stones. This is an experimental procedure where they actually destroy the nerves to the kidney. This is supposed to treat resistant high blood pressure. On 8/4/2012 4:34 PM, dan wrote: Thats a diff type. I googled Untreatable high bp and the kedney wave info came up. Guest guest
Using sound waves to destroy stones is called lithotripsy and it leaves people feeling pretty beat up. Can't imagine that would be precise enough to only destry nerve endings so it must be something else "Renal denervation" is more likely the name where they go in with a catheter threaded into the kidneys and laser or cauterize the nerves to help control HTN. But it's not soundwaves. -- On Sat, 8/4/12, Phyllis <phylisrn@...> wrote: From: Phyllis <phylisrn@...>Subject: Re: Re: Kidney soundwavehyperaldosteronism Date: Saturday, August 4, 2012, 4:35 PM This is not about stones. Guest guest
Dan, where are you located and have you considered NIH. It sounds like you might be a good candidate and it might be a better option than killing your kidneys! They do complete testing including a 6 day Little's test and know how to do all the testing correctly! Only cost to you is the travel expense. Let me know if you want the info or want to discuss it. ..... > > does anyone know anything about this.
