Guest guest
" The researchers note they could not account for the different types of HRT taken by women in the study, as that information was not available. " To me, that is a very important issue. I consider this article a very narrow view of HRT or BHRT. They will pry mine out of my cold, dead hands. Guest guest
Clearly no good trials but data is a caution to use only as long as needed. Guest guest
Certainly, more than HTN needs to be considered. The WHI showed that women who postponed HRT (I think it was at average age 63) had a higher incidence of stroke (after beginning it) than those who began it early. Stroke has not been associated with bioidentical transdermals but has been with synthetic orals. It is unfortunate that the WHI didn't study that difference. My bones are trashed from 14 years of hyperparathyroidism. I use estrogen to preserve what I have because I have little to no interest in taking the bisphonsphanates.
