Guest guest
My adrenalectomy was 9 months ago, and all this time I've been really conservative about sodium intake since I had been in the habit of restricting sodium for so long. Recently I decided to experiment a bit and give some prepared foods a try. (Between food intolerances and salt sensitivity, I rarely eat anything that I don't know the exact ingredients of - and never eat in restaurants.) Interesting results - not only did I find the taste to be unpleasantly salty, but I had similar results to the rare occasions that I would eat in a restaurant when I still had the tumor: bloating and 2 pounds of water weight gain, and an increase in BP (my post-ADX average is 118/78; yesterday it was 120/89!). Curious to know if any others here still have trouble with salt sensitivity post-ADX. I'm taking this as evidence that watching sodium intake is always a good idea, adenoma or no adenoma! -msmith1928 Left laparoscopic adrenalectomy 10/13/
