I have had pts have to undergo. Bronchoscopy to try to find the cause of the cough because the pt forgot to tell ten they were taking an ACE. For HTN. Many ate extremely grateful when the cough stops when in recommend they stop it. So if ACES DON'T work for BP in PA u can expect to get ate side effects. Keep us posted. May your pressure be low!CE Grim MS, MDSpecializing in DifficultHypertensionOn Jul 10, 2012, at 21:11, Bingham <jlkbbk2003@...> wrote:

Doesn't mean you'll get the cough, but it is the # 1 side effect. It is kind of a dry, hacking, "tickle" . It is harmless just keeps you awake and everyone around you perturbed

, your ARR is 79, your renin is very low, and you have HTN. You have PA. I don't think he can tell by a saline suppression test whether you have hyperplasia. Let us know what that kidney saving drug is. I'm getting a little concerned about mine.

I just got back from the Doctors and he says the saline suppression confirms that i do not have hyperplasia of the adrenal glands. BUT my high aldostrone and ratio is driving my blood pressure problems so he put me on Spiro, and another drug i don't have the name of just yet (they called it all in) it started with an "l" and its suppose to be a kidney saving drug?he took me off my current BP drugs of bystolic and nifedpine as of today.... i begin the new meds today and he wants a conference call next week to see how my BP is doing. he wants to see me in a month and do more blood work then too.sooooo, i have the symptoms of PA but not PA.... so I just have essintial hypertension caused by high aldostrone and ratio? i'm guessing on that one....38 yrsaldo 30 (?-28)renin .38 (.25-5.89)ratio 78.9 (.9-28.9)Nifedipine 30 mgBystolic 5mgCT scan normalSaline suppression june 27th! K- (3.2 thru

4.0) 3.2 was when i was training for half marathon.... 4.0 was with very little running for a few months...K-only low if I start to run or exercise vigorously. so i have shortened mileage and slowed pace a great deal to compensate. (a work in progress)BP avg 140-160's/80-100's on a good day ;)

It depends on what is going on and damaging the kidney. If it is also and salt then they should have a good response GFR gets better. Any urine protein? Do you have time plot of GFR? And add all meds over time as well. And add CTS etc with contrast. May your pressure be low!CE Grim MS, MDSpecializing in DifficultHypertensionOn Jul 10, 2012, at 23:41, Valarie <val@...> wrote:
