So, the Viracept and Sustiva arms with nukes (D4T, AZT) had lipoatrophy..more in the Viracept. This study is interesting since we saw a study recently (ACTH 5142) that found that Kaletra plus D4T or AZT has less lipoatrophy than Sustiva plus D4T or AZT did. May be it is the Norvir in Kaletra that has a protective effect on lipoatrophy since Novir increases fat both in the visceral area and under the skin?
