Yes I use probiotics with my son and they are wonderful!! The results are very fast!!

the she started having bm problems.... she is normally constipated - but bm's were LARGE and we knew it hurt... and she refuses to go to the bathroom---had tried Miralax before... but even a 1/2 dose caused loss stools and problems in the undies...we started some probiotics for children on Sat.... yesterday.. the bm was of normal size.... and her behavior seems better.those that have used probiotics...do they work this soon? or can I consider this to have started working? We are also looking into gluten free....Any help is appreciated...OH>...and please don't ask if she could possibly be molested... I got this from some one else... she only is with her MOM, Dad, Me, teacher or aide....I want my granddaughter back to what she used to be.... it wasn't perfect... but is better than this..Also.... having undie issues....have bought so many to find out what works.... Plz post response to the group. I would also like to know more about this.

We use Natures Bounty Acidopholus probiotics (CVS Pharmacy)to help with

digestion. Are these similar products??

my granddaughter weas taking some very strong drugs for a staph infection....

she started haaving constipation problems.... and also yeast/uti's because of

the meds.....

The probiotics have changed the constipation

She is a very picky eater... and will not eat yogurt...so you get mega

probiotics in 3/4 teaspoon and she doesn't know she is taking it.

Reading this really sparks an interest in the probiotics. Where can they be purchased? My son who just turned 7 has issues with BMs and tried Miralzx and Lactaluse made his BMs runny too. Probiotics worked very well and very quickly for our daughter as well. We did have to give her oral Nystatin for awhile to help her get rid of nasty recurring vaginal and intestinal yeast first, but after that, the probiotics did the trick on their own. It was difficult to find a doc who would prescribe the Nystatin though.

My daughter also used Miralax for many years because of very hard stool that she had trouble passing. We did the gluten/casein free diet with tremendous success as well. As a matter of fact, within 24hrs of changing to the diet, she started speaking in sentences. She was almost 3 yrs old at the time and up until then had not been able to communicate in full sentences. I know that every child is different, but this was just plain amazing!

I don't remember a problem with colored undies, but dryer sheets were a big problem! Had to switch to liquid fabric softener and once I did, she didn't have anymore problems. Good luck!
