The purpose of this study is to determine if an investigational medication called STX209, or arbaclofen, is an effective treatment for symptoms associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders.Taking part in this study will involve 7 visits to the study center over a 22-week period (about 5 months). There will also be several telephone contacts to check on your child/dependent's progress and monitor for any side effects. The study medication and all study-related evaluations will be provided at no cost to you. Your participation in this study is voluntary. If you choose not to participate, it will not affect your child/dependent's medical care. The risks and benefits of this study will be explained to you thoroughly before you agree to participate. If you would like more information about this study, please contact Jessie at 615.936.3288 or email at jessica.smith@....Sincerely, Veenstra-VanderWeele, M.D.
