Guest guest
Just a note, I saw a study last fall that showed AIT did not help and actually made some socialization factors worse for the participants involved. I was looking for it, and couldn't find it. You may want to check out Listening Therapy (www.vitalsounds.com) Our speech therapist recommended it, and we had very good results with our son using it. He went from putting his hands over his ears and tantruming at all ambient music (even elevator music in the grocery store) to being able to tolerate it. I also found that having him listen to music would settle him down in the middle of a tantrum. Also later, as his speech improved, and he would ask to listen to the music, he told me " It helps my school not be so loud. " We bought a cd player, Sonheiser (SP?) headphones and a fanny pack. We had him listen 30 minutes in the am and 30 minutes in the pm. We rented the CDs from the therapy place. Each month we would move to a new cd. Over the course of 6 months we spent a total of about $650 on the program.

Guest guest
Hello everyone, Judy and I will be spending the winter months in our motorhome and we will be traveling with our AIT equipment. For those who are not familiar with AIT, Auditory Integration Training, you can find out more at http://www.aitinstitute.org/index.php We provided AIT for over 10 years to hundreds of clients while we operated Miracle Mountain in NC. We considered it so valuable and successful in autism that we would not treat a child with autism using HBOT without also doing the AIT program. There are many issues it can be of great benefit for, especially in Autism. One of the problems is the cost is from $1200 to $1800, depending on your location and the availability which is, most often, inconvenient. Although Judy and I have retired, we really miss working with children and adults with all types of brain injury. We made so many wonderful friends and saw some great results. Because we have a grandson with CP, we also know the expenses of providing therapies. Beginning in January in Florida and/or Georgia and other states, we will be providing AIT to those who would like to set up a group. We will travel to your area and spend 2 weeks there in our motorhome providing AIT. We need at least 3 participants to come to your area. With 3 participants, we will charge $600 per person which will pay our travel expenses. If anyone thinks we will get rich doing this, try buying diesel for a 37 foot motor home and paying $30 to $40 per night to park it. We can do 2 people but our minimum will be $1800 in an area. We can do 4 people for $500 each. The only requirement we have is that you find at least 3 participants who would like to do AIT. We have over 10 years of experience doing AIT on a daily basis. We probably provided more AIT sessions in a 10 year period than anyone else in the USA. It will be up to you to find the participants and set up the schedule with Judy and I. Please study AIT and if you think it would benefit your child or an adult you know, then we will work on a schedule with you. Keep in mind, we expect more requests than we can fulfill so we will do the schedule on a first come, first serve basis. We will also be traveling through Alabama, LA, TX and maybe on through NM, AZ and Southern CA. We do want to stay in the warmer Southern states. This is new to us, we love to travel and we love to work with the kids and adults with special needs. Please go to http://www.aitinstitute.org/index.php Berard AIT can help these diagnoses : ADD and ADHD, Aspergers Syndrome, Attention Issues, Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), Autism (ASD), Behavioral Issues, Dyslexia, Hypersensitive Hearing or Hyperacusis, Learning Disabilities, Noise or Sound Sensitivity, Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Speech and Language Delay I am not here to try to sell you on AIT, but I hope you will investigate it for your child. Also, we will not overbook and will probably have some open time between locations. After all, we want to see the country and enjoy life. We just decided to give this a try and it may be the only year we try it. We will see how tough it is on us. :-) My email is rhartsoe@... (rhartsoe @skybest.com) We have enjoyed providing over 22,000 HBOT treatments over a 10 year period and maybe this will help fill that void we have of not getting to work with your children which we cherished so much. and Judy Hartsoe You will need to email me directly with questions as I do not want to tie up space on this group with an off-topic subject. Guest guest
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I think it is important for parents who are looking at stem cell as an alternative treatment to know - Hartsoe took $2500 for HBO treatment of my uncle and closed his HBO without returning the $$. My uncle is a quadriplegic and although I have repeatedly asked to return the money - he ignores me. I wouldn't send one cent to Hartsoe. Also, the StemCellDR group is moderated by who? You Guessed It! So don't expect to get reliable info there! Guest guest
Cammy, I think you should also mention that you received free hbot, AIT and other therapies from our center. And you know that hippa regulations will not allow us to comment on the situation with your uncle which was settled long ago. You should talk to your aunt about it. In addition, a simple small claims court suit would settle any dispute without even paying a lawyer. But then that would keep you from spreading your little vendetta against us on different groups. My apologies to the group. This is a subject that should not involve you. If Cammy has a problem, she needs to settle it in a small claims court which will only cost $35. If this is the only complaint we have after providing over 22,000 treatments over 10 years, I think I can be proud of our record. We never turned a child away because the parents could not pay............did we, Cammy? Guest guest
no vendetta; just the truth; can you deny the facts?? You accepted $2500 for treatment Closed your center for YOUR health reasons (so you say) Never returned the $2500 Your always saying your just trying to help people. My uncles's a quadriplegic!! You sure aren't helping him but, hmmm... you've found a thriving new business and all that's in the past! right?? Just because you REFUSED to return the money doesn't mean we've forgotten and yes I do want to share our experience with other people. Thank God for the Internet so we can learn from others experiences.
