Guest guest
Judy, I was curious why you have to wait so long for the test results. Was the test a long question one and what did it include? Do they go through every answer? I am curious because sometimes I suspect Bre may have bipolar tendencies. She never has been tested for it though. I think I would like it ruled out though. Thanks for your response! Sandy
Guest guest
Sandy, My daughter has been diagnosed with bipolar from several different doctors, yet some of them say it's only ocd. The reason I'm waiting so long now is because I had her evaluated in Boston, MA for a bipolar child study and had a neuropsychiatric evaluation done on her at the CT Children's Med Ctr.These places all use a team of specialists to diagnose as well as doing IQ tests, all types of cognitive testing, asking literally a thousand questions, going through every single answer and doing dozens of questionaires,( I think I had 4, 4 hour interviews) versus our small town doctors who just hear from me that she rages and has mood swings, so they just go ahead and diagnose bipolar. It takes them 6-8 weeks to make the diagnosis with the teams. It's such a pain, but sooooo worth it to me after going through all this crap for years.
