Guest guest
Hi, My daughter also tried Adderall XR this year. Prior to that she had tried the regular adderall and concerta. Neither of them worked. The adderall made her more anxious when it wore off and the concerta made her very anxious without no help in concentration. The adderall XR (10mg) was great for about a month! She loved taking it and her school work improved, etc... but slowly it seemed that her personality kind of changed. I don't know if it was anxiety taking over or what. She became kind of defiant at school, put her papers on the floor and refused to pick them up. The teachers refer to this day as " that BAD day " . All the teachers told the others that she was having a bad day. In retrospect, I see that her behavior slowly got worse. We took her off of it the next day, and her mood was better. The adderall made her kind of took her nice emotions away. Anyone have any experience with that? I wish it had worked because when it helped it was like a new child!!! You could see the tension be released from her as it started working. Oh well..........we'll keep trying. I am so happy for those of you who can get help for the ADD because I think that this lack of focus has a large impact on their OCD!!!
