It took more than just him to package it and sell it in such a way that it became a " phenomenon " . The business of Tae-Bo is obviously not a one-man show. >Barb >who knows this link & association will hurt 's and Tae-Bo's credibility I doubt it. I figure MN will be just like all the others. It will work for some people, and not for some others. The multi-level marketing business is big in the U.S. Some are OK... some not so OK. All are quasi-pyramids, IMO. But isn't running a MLM business, so a simple link to their page (awful as their site is) shouldn't harm 's credibility. Tae-Bo itself takes care of his credibility. >OK if the company distributing Malibu Naturals is the creator of the Tae-Bo >video phenonenon according to their link on the official taebo website >then how does TBQ's dad get the same credit? It's possible that TBQ's dad *is* the company distributing Malibu Naturals, or at least an officer of that company. Who knows? I really don't understand why you're so upset about this, Barb. You've got too much positive energy to be burning it up in such a negative way. Send e-mail. Send snail mail. Let your feelings be known to the Tae-Bo people. >Why am I so angry? >cuz I never cared for lieing and deceit and greed. I don't see any of those things happening here. I see businessmen doing business. Tae-Bo isn't a religion. It's an fitness program/exercise. got lucky and someone was interested enough to put a lot of money into it to back 's idea. is a man with a good heart, too; but why should that stop him from making business deals that seem lucrative for him? >I believed in the Tae-Bo that created and promoted >and the power of people to use it to become fitter and even empowered >and still do even if it turns out to be an illusion But you already know that it's not an illusion. Tae-Bo works. There are people right here on this list that can attest to that. >Although I never bought into TBQ's Cinderella story >hearing the claim that her dad is the man behind Tae-Bo, not , >just makes me feel lied to and deceived even more But why? was a young guy with no money. There's no way he could have put together the people, technology, etc. that it took to bring the Tae-Bo that we know to the public. The taping, the packaging, the selling, the purchase of millions of dollars worth of tv time for the first infommercial. Where do you think he got all the money to do that? He couldn't have done it by himself. He entered into a business deal with someone (I'm guessing TBQ's dad) that has turned out to be very beneficial for all concerned -- and probably for many others too. I just don't see a problem with this. Hell... I wish I had been in on the deal and could have signed *my* name on that dotted line. :-) >OK maybe we should thank the man for bringing us Blanks' Tae-Bo >but I believe the only thanks or reward TBQ's dad wants is our dollars. And this is wrong because.... ? >Those dollars sadly weren't enough cuz I believe TBQ's dad is behind all of >it. The successful marketing of Tae-Bo and its association with Malibu >Naturals and there is nothing can do about it even if he wanted to. You may be right. But then I personally don't see any reason for not to want to be associated with Malibu Naturals. It's an MLM company. Like someone said earlier, just because one of their distributors uses shoddy sales tactics doesn't mean the whole company is horrible. The Avon analogy was perfect. We have -- in essence -- made a decision about the Avon company as a whole based on the actions of one Avon lady. The company has absolutely nothing to do with how the individual Avon ladies pitch their products. It's probably the same way with MN. Personally I don't care one bit about 's association with MN. I hope he continues to make business deals that bring him lots of money. I love it when someone with a good idea makes it big, and TaeBo is a good idea. >If anyone doesn't like reading what I have to say, use the delete button >because I think others who feel deceived need to commiserate I understand that you're feeling deceived and betrayed. This looks like a very emotional reaction you're having here rather than an intellectual one. I just don't understand *why* you're feeling deceived, and I really hate to see you so upset. -- Sandy Stan Kirsch website: http://www.stankirsch.com StarPages Votes: http://www.starpages.net/cgi-bin/star?VID=920855739
