Guest guest
Debbie, That's so wonderful about your daughter! In time, your husband, too, might come around...ya never know! You're the person with every exercise machine known to humankind, right? And, if I'm not mistaken, isn't the Total Gym one of them? Please, tell me how you like it compared to other things you've tried. ;-) "debbie stout" wrote: original article: Hi -I especially loved hearing your story. BUT, I've been given a much bigger gift. My daughter who has never been one to exercise, came up to me two weeks ago and asked me to train her. I can't even begin to express how much this meant to me. She's been so anti-Tae Bo that she refused to do the 8 minute as a warm up to her first weight session. Since I was training her, I insisted we do it together ( so I could critique her form). By the end of the tape, she was beet red and dripping in sweat. She swore that was on crack (LOL). I didn't say anything. That evening I overheard her tell her friend that she did Tae Bo for the first time and LIKED it. She's been hooked ever since. I have her training with weights three times a week and she does basic Tae Bo 6 days a week. BL#3 is her favorite tape. We weight train together and again, I never thought that I would be weight training side by side with my daughter.I asked her the other night what benefits she has acheived to date and she said this, "I feel so much better about myself." Hi Debbie! I think that is fantastic about your daughter! How old is she? What I noticed and love about working out with my husband is that a whole new level of respect for each other has grown from this. For you to be able to do the same with your daughter will surely strengthen the bond between you and take the respect you have for one another to a whole new level. Please keep us posted about this, I think it is exciting and will be interesting to follow. If your daughter doesn't mind us following her progress. Please let her know she has a cheering section now.

" Oh, Debbie, I am so happy for you and your daughter! You have given her a real gift. After a while, you and she will have to reward yourselves with a trip to LA for tapings. They love it when families taebo together. If you two are this close now, imagine how it will be when she is all grown up! Elena

What a wonderful gift you are giving your daughter, especially as she is growing up. She will have such a great attitude about health and fitness and her body! It is so important these days that our young girls learn to love their bodies and have realistic goals for what they can achieve. Working out regularly and building muscle is a great place to start! And the two of you will have such great quality time together! I look forward to the day when Skylar and I can work out together....ok, maybe I can wait....I know those teenage years are going to be a little difficult...you know, that whole what goes around comes around thing and I'm definitely due a little payback (just ask my aunt...ha ha!)
