Guest guest
I was on Truvada and Viramune for 5-6 months with good viral suppression vl<50, cd4 525 however I was having a lot of diarrhea. The Doctor changed the Truvada to Zerit epivir. I voiced my concern over lipo and the use of Zerit, but he assured it would be ok since we are using a low dose. What are your thoughts. It have been on the Zerit/epivir/viramune now for 5-6 days. I have noticed hot flashes, a little nausea, some tingling in my fingers and toes but less diarrhea. I just want thoughts on this new combo that I am on. I am on a month trial of these drugs to see how I feel. thanks
Guest guest
I seriously doubt that Viramune plus Truvada can cause serious diarrhea, but we are all different. Are you sure you are not lactose intolerant, have food allergies, or a parasite? Has your doctor done any stool analysis or sent you to a dietitian? Your CD4 cells are high, so that rules out any of the more problematic bugs like CMV, MAC and other pathogens that can affect your gut. Zerit has been shown to cause lipoatrophy and neuropathy even at the lower dose of 30 mg bid Regards, Vergel powerusa dot org Zerit epivir and viramune I was on Truvada and Viramune for 5-6 months with good viral suppression vl<50, cd4 525 however I was having a lot of diarrhea. The Doctor changed the Truvada to Zerit epivir.
