Guest guest
I am glad that I came back and with even better news than before. September 11 - we were not allowed to leave the house for fear that Bin Laden would see us and get us, he freaked when I went to get the mail thinking there was a bomb in it. I am going to strangle all those little 7th graders that put some of this foolishness in dear sons head. Meanwhile, he is sick and really needs to be seen by a doc, but absolutely refuses to leave house. I gave over the counter meds until we could leave again. September 12 - everything is save and sorta back to normal. Husband is still away camping - have every intention of taking Dear Son to Walgreens walk-in for strep test but husband calls and says please take to urgent care so he will see a real doc okay - Danny agrees so after he show that he has to watch we go - well believe it or not he does not have strep - he has ear infections in both ears and one is really really bad - the kind that can rupture. So she gives him the antibiotic of my choice after a lot of begging I know what works with my kid but they don't always agree with me. So on the way to Jewel/Osco he is itching like crazy I said do you have hives he pulls his shirt down and says no, I said let me look at your arm - sure enough we once again have HIVES. So now it boils down to this - he has double ear infections, 101.4 fever, hives, sore throat, and cruddy nose. September 13 - no school for dear son not fever free for 24 hours - in school bylaws- think I am the only parent that sticks to it, but if I don't keep him home he will be miserable and make the rest of the class miserable, and he signed the bylaws so he knows he can't go to school. I might let him go to scouts tonight if he keeps his fever down without meds - we will see he is sleeping still. Had to change his clothes last night as they were wet from sweat. Have been driving this other girl to school so now I still have to do that. Oh well she gets my jammies with a sweat shirt over them too. I don't have to go into the school just need to call him in sick. What a year he has been having I can't believe he is getting ear infections at the age of 12, oh well what does a mom know - I need a nap.
