Hey Mickey, unfortunately I have no new targets to offer, but I sure would be

interested in hearing what you started off with ( this has been a hard area

for us :) I think lots of us would be interested.. but if you'd rather

email them to me privately that's ok :)

Thanks,

Spencer

have these cards?? I have a word file with the list if you'd like it but I

think any of the cards would do. Thanks again for your help. I got the tape

Mickey, Rgarding your question about RFFC materials. There is a CD that I

like called: " Picture This " you can make your own flashcard and the photos

are actual photos not animated. There are 2400 photos on this program.

Everything is broken down by category. Some of the categories are: Animals,

prepositions, rooms, sequences,shapes, places,

vehicles,opposites,colors,clothing,nature,kitchen,holidays,travel etc.....

It cost $49.50 www.silverliningmm.com

or 914-462-8714

Hope this helps

Hi,

We use the huge set of Language Builder Cards, along with too many other

separate sets. If we have a fire, it would burn for days on flash cards

alone. Yikes!

Seriously, these have been very useful, and while we have not introduced

many of these yet, I made some up after seeing some here. The next two are

to be included in my son's program during the next two weeks if he

continues to be stable and more cheerful.

Milk - something cold, you drink, is white, buy it at the store. (I have

chosen now to link cow with it just yet. He has a hard enough time

understanding the fact the cow eats, let alone we drink the cow's milk.)

Fish - swims in the water, buy at a petshop, lives in an aquarium, has fins

and tail. (we have an aquarium for Ize, so I try to use things that are in

his world first.)

Airplane - Flies in the sky, takes off and lands, has a pilot, is at the

airport.

Flower - Color, grows in a garden, smells pretty, you put them in a vase.

Playground - You play at it, you can slide or swing. Kids come and play, it

it outside.

You probably have done these, but I find that as we see each card, I find

new things I could potentially expand on. We are not ready yet to do too

much and my kid's expressive language is too weak to require much in the

way of answers.

Still, out of all the photos we have, I think we are set for many, many

months to come. LOL
