Guest guest
Just received a diagnosis of gestational diabetes (GD) @ 30 weeks. Did any of you receive a similar diagnosis while pregnant with your twins? I'm wondering if there's a correlation between such a diagnosis and an ultimate outcome of DS in one/both of the twins? Guest guest
I had gestional diabetes when I was pregnant with my twins, Vinnie (DS) and Sloan. I dont think it has anything to do with DS. Most of the women I work with had GD with their first. Is this your first pregnancy? ~, moma to & Sloan {2 1/2}

Guest guest
Wish I could help but unfortunately, I never made it to 30 weeks (or even get the glucose testing done!). Sorry, just re-living some memories of this night 4 years ago. I can't believe that my little dumplin's were born at 26 weeks and are celebrating their 4th birthday today. Other than that, how's everything else going w/the pregnancy? Well I hope. Good luck and hope you get some answers. Judi-Mom to Sam & , 4 today! Guest guest
no on the amnio, decided against it. Not worried per se, just wondering. Guest guest
Thanks, Judi. Everything's going pretty well. Ended up in the hospital for 2 days this past week due to dehydration caused by the gestational diabetes, which caused heavy bleeding and lots of Braxton-Hicks contractions. Now in complete bedrest for the next 8 weeks. The twins are doing very well, both weigh 3.9, so the efforts now are focused on keeping them " cooking " for the duration.
