Guest guest
<<Also the big sticking point with me has been for O/T, P/T and S/T to write me a note at least weekly and tell me how long they saw him and what they worked on(they claim, they don't want to take he time to do it) I tell them, that with Tim having his own attendant going everywhere with him that it shouldn't be a problem for them to dictate the note to that person to write it down. karen>> Hi, Everyone.........Two yrs. ago, I gave up on teachers writing notes and I purchased on of those digital Dictaphones or voice recorders (like Dr. use). I put a strap on it for Gareth to wear around his neck. It has worked GREAT !!! It's convenient for the aide and the teachers. Each person just hits the 'rec' button and I get all the messages each day. I got one that holds up to 6 hrs. of talk.....never came close to that. Messages are erased each night and any thing I want them to know, I dictate in the morning for them to hear first thing. I got mine at Best Buys, but I think I have seen them at Walmart, too. <<How is Garreth feeling? Charlyne>> He's doing OK. Had him in yesterday for a cough and sore throat....wanting to r/o strep. The Dr. was floored when she looked into his left ear. She said it was bulging so large and pussy. Never bothered him any!!! I told her the only way I know he has an ear infection is when he wakes up in the morning and his pillow is all pussy and bloody. He's blown out his ear drums so many times because I just don't know. Guess the cough and sore throat are from the ear infection. Funny how he can tell me his throat hurts but doesn't say anything about his ears. Donna....you HAVE to e-mail me a photo of you guys dressed up to the 'Hilt'.!!! If you get an extra copy of Maddie's school magazine, please send me one. The house here is finally getting to look like a home!!! I have been sooooooooooooo slow in getting things unpacked and settled in.....maybe a bit of depression on my part!!! Glad Maddie is still doing well with the Risperdal. Help.....Gareth is starting on a new med for his OCD. He's been so bad this summer. Has any one had any experience with Lexapro (Escitalopram)? I want to hear the good and bad. This is the first new med I have tried in five yrs.....hopefully, it won't turn into a disaster. I warned all his teachers today to keep me updated on negative behaviors. Take care, Everyone. Margaret
