Hi Charlyne,

I'm still rooting for you and that all will turn out for the best.

Praying with you. We'll be with you in spirit " Parent Power " .

Looking forward hearing an update. Lots of hugs to you and Zeb.

Hi! Your email sounded very upbeat about the (undisclosed) events of

the day, which I will take at face value. I would have been horribly

frustrated at the continuance for the competancy hearing, but believe

that your new gift from above (the special ed attorney) will watch over

both you and Zeb. Have you thought about writing a book when this is

all over?

And we were thinking of you last night as well. Unfortunately,

Margaret couldn't make it, just Gail, Donna and myself (with assorted

children and, of course, Donna's DH). Gail said that your Zeb was the

most polite, sweet little boy--please and thank you to everything. And

how much he was taken with Jo. My son was also very taken with

Jo--imitating alot of what she did when they were playing

together. I guess she has a way with our boys.

You live near New Hartford, CT, right? I seem to recall a conversation

about you getting stuck in that little nothing of a town where my

sister and her family live. I don't get up there very often, but the

next time I do, I'll see if I can meet your little sweetheart.

Best wishes,

Ginny

Oh I forgot!

Why not, you and Zeb have become celebrities already. Your

definitely capable of writing one. You do this and I promise to fly

out your way and purchase your book and duh! Meeting you and getting

an autograph. Smiles : )

Thanks Charlyne,

Yep, it was a touch and go and had to cancel one of my nephews B-day

party across town to avoid any flooding that normally occurs here.

Its still pretty cloudy but at least the main storm has passed. Take

care.

Charlyne,

Congratulations, I hope everything turns around for you and Zeb now.

Enough with the attorneys and prosecutors. It's just so ridiculous. I was

thinking

of you the other day. Miles always volunteers in Brook's special Ed summer

school class and he was telling me the other day how one day a lot of the kids

were having a bad day and were hitting him. He said they didn't seem to be able

to control or stop themselves. Miles was completely fine with it. I know this

is not the same situation that you had with Zeb, but it just reminded me of

you. Miles spends a lot of time chasing down kids that want to run off in the

middle of whatever. It is actually pretty amusing to hear his stories and what

the other kids are up to.

Any plans for visiting your sister someday in Danville? It would be

great to meet if you get a chance to go. Brook only has a few more days of

summer

school and then we have a long haul before school starts again.

Charylne,

I would love to hear how this turns out for the principal. I'm so glad

this part is over for you and I hope to see better school programs and happier

days for Zeb's future.

Brook will occasionally hit someone, if he is provoked too, by that I

mean, you are trying to make him do something he doesn't want to do. He doesn't

like his teeth brushed, so he puts up a fight sometimes. We have been having

more trouble with pinching and scratching. We have had this behavior in the

past and had a behavior specialist work on it with us. I know Brook is doing it

to get the intense reaction, but my DH is the one he goes after. So it is hard

for me to persuade my DH not to react when Brook is scratching and pinching

him.

What's the problem with your weather? We are scorching out here in Ca.

I can't remember what book you are talking about but we just can't

Hi Charlyne,

I do not have it on hand, its in the other room but it was something

like " Teaching Down syndrome How To Read. "

You're right " never enough " . I guess the best way of learning are

through the daily experiences. Take care.

Thanks! This will be my book of the week to finally attend to it.

Lately, I had some so called reading moments while is under

his therapy time. So, this will be my reading material while

waiting. We shall see what I gain out it. Hope Zeb is still doing

well at summer school. Take care.

Hi Charlyne,

Is this a different school that Zeb is attending this summer?

Hope you managed to get your equipment straigthen out, sounds like a

challenging week with the school meeting, too. Good luck with that

and I think they'll try to watch stepping on your toes by keep their

eyes and ears open and know you mean business.

I read something like when services are not available in the school

for your child then you have to create one. This is definitely what

you are doing, but what a toll its been for you and Zeb. Fingers

crossed that it'll be a better year.
