Guest guest
Hi Irma and everyone, Thanks for the wet/dry tip. I will start to use it today!! Rochelle has graduated to being scheduled trained. That means if we put her on she goes. But if we forget or we don't put her on often enough she has an accident. I'd say we have about 1 or 2 accidents a day. Not bad. She will even go in a public restroom if it is not to loud or small. She is still in pull-ups but this summer we will go cold turkey to undies during the day after vacation of course. Does anyone know where I can get plastic coverings for furniture, bus, carseat etc.... Swimming season is here and we still sometimes have number 2 accidents. Hope it's not in the pool. Yuck! Practice with hand over hand touching/feeling " wet " then the next washcloth " dry " . >>

Home Depot? <<Swimming season is here and we still sometimes have number 2 accidents. Hope it's not in the pool. Yuck! >> UGH, tell me about it!!!!! Maddie wears a swim pull up and still has blow outs (matter of fact, her new flotation swim suit is drying outside as we speak). Congrats though on the success with pottying!!! Way to go Rochelle and Mom. <<Does anyone know how to get urine smells out of clothing or furniture? has been doing so well with underwear, but he has had an accident or 2 .. The cleaning fluid ends up mixing in with the urine and it all just STAYS, so you have to get the fluid back out!!!! We have one of those big rug cleaners that clean and then suck the fluid back up....also a small one for quick jobs (wet/dry vacs). When you actually clean it and see the stuff you pull back up into the machine, it's GROSS!!! But feels good to see it coming out. For clothes, I would just soak them really well and use a fabric softener in the washer....they also clean and get rid of odors. Guest guest
I have always used club soda. It works like a charm. I got the tip from a pediatrician who used it on their rugs in the office. Guest guest
Donna, I was reading your post and chuckling.....people borrowing and not returning is one of my major pet peeves!!!!!! I almost go off the deep end when I get to the point you are at with making a list and wanting everything back from everyone NOW!!!!!!:) Good Luck getting all of your stuff back! Guest guest
Maybe you need to say you can borrow it if you bring it back tomorrow. LOL I remember my Dad had the same problem with his tools. There is really no solution is there? I am really bad and wouldn't let anyone know I have it then they can't borrow it. hehehe But, you are too generous!! That's why everyone loves you. smile. Guest guest
Hi Diane, I can't remember who used this idea but for their little kid they used a " furry " bathmat that had a rubber backing. If soiled they could throw it in the washer/dryer and it was easy to take to company's house and she had to learn that that was her spot to sit. Good luck, I think we'll be here shortly. a (Hannah 61/2 DS/Aut)
Guest guest
> Does anyone know where I can get plastic coverings for furniture, bus, carseat etc.... > Hi Diane, Back to this. What I use to do. I was like a hawk around with this issue. I use to use those shower plastic liners and this was the only area he was allow to sit on. He got the message as I was his shadow. Then one of my friends brought those hospital bed pads and they had worked great for us. When we went out he knew exactly where his seating area was at. We still had some mess but of course when the poop in the bathtub started as he felt relaxed with the warm water and I would wear those plastic gloves to grab the poop out of the tub and toss it in the toilet with him watching and showing him where poop went in the toilet. A great visual tool. He must of gotten the message as he started pooping in the toilet. Plus hates " mess " and " ewe, yuck " , he would respond. Wishing you luck with this issue. Seems like Rochelle is almost ready. Its just figuring out what is stopping her from pooping in the toilet. Is she constipated? How about the sound or light? The toilet seat? Does she have her own little attachable seat? Do you use a foot step so that her feet are touching? Does she drink alot of fluids or eat plenty of fiber? Do you use a pic of a poop? Are you still following a schedule? Try to keep track of when Rochelle normally has a BM this will kinda of give you an idea when she's about to have one. Do you have her wearing those cute little character undie? I believe when Rochelle is ready, its when it'll happen. Are they're any medical issues? I'm pretty sure you this has crossed your mind on what I've mentioned. Hey, look how many years for to learn. Ok, once I understood why? I always thought he was ever going to learn. He has accomplished this mission not 100 % as he still needs verbal & visual cues. But, no more pull ups for gosh! I've forgotten how long? Maybe about a 1 1/2 years. Here and there due to us not reminding him will still have # 1 accident. Give her hug from me glad to hear some progress.
