Van Gogh and other artists had mercury and lead posoning from the paints they

used and then handling food, etc.

and his wife. He fascinates me and I admire him mucho. But he sure battled

with his health. I have bad stomach issues - have to be REALLY careful or a

hiatal hernia crops up. Does heavy metal toxicity induce this, too?

So why do all these people also share Brilliance? Coincidence? Or are

they just a few of the many, the mob that has metal toxicity - the few that

shine the brightest?

My personal belief is that the genetic factors that encourage

intelligence, generosity and earnestness in people also make people

more susceptible to heavy metal intoxication. This is based more on

the totality of my life experience than it is on any technical

underpinning, so I don't generally discuss it.

Other interesting people to look into are Einstein, and Churchill who

was manic depressive.

There is an excellent article by Siblerud in the Journal of

Orthomolecular Medicine showing all kinds of mercury related

biochemical changes in manic depressives. JOM is not medline indexed

- it is too politically incorrect.
