Guest guest
I believe that it has been noted that the first urine analysis may NOT show high levels (or any for that matter!), but rather, subsequent tests will show increasingly higher levels of mercury. It depends on what metals are in the tissues, what tissues they are in, and also how tightly they are bound to those tissues. I would AT LEAST wait 3-4 months on DMSA alone, do the tests every 4-6 weeks. When the mercury levels drop below 20% of the HIGHEST recorded level, then add the ALA. This is just what I've understood from observing and listening since June! I could be wrong...but it seems safe to me!

Guest guest
, Andy Cutler doesn't recommend using large chain laboratories for urine toxic elements tests. In his book, he talks about how these labs do a large number of these tests on a routine basis since they are statutorily mandated for certain workplaces. The labs don't expect the results to be positive for toxins, so they may not take care in performing the tests. Instead, he recommends using labs that specialize in this kind of a test, specifically Doctor's Data or Great Smokies. Guest guest
My opinion is that you have probably gotten the loose stuff and it is time to attack the tightly bound metals by adding in ALA. Dr. Holmes and others are now prescribing both together from the start, although we are just doing DMSA alone. Just my thoughts. Wendi Dupuy [ ] Odd-ball Urine Analysis Dear Listmates, I'm stunned. Just received a phone call from pediatrician's office with regards to my daughter's 1st urine analysis since we began chelation with DMSA 2 months ago. I was told that everything was "within normal limits". The urine was processed by LabCorp. The hair analysis we had done around 2.5 months ago had shown severely elevated mercury and lead and elevated aluminum. What would explain this ho-hum urine analysis? Is it time to add in the ALA already? Has anyone else seen this?!!! With such high mercury in her hair I had expected to see gobs of it coming out in her urine. ?????????? Guest guest
, Go get a copy of the lab results from your pediatrician. Chances are, they don't know how to interpret it. Anything that is >dl (detection level) is really NOT normal. And you are seeing great results, too, so I think you are on the right track, despite what your ped. thinks. Remember, SOME doctors don't know everything. (In fact, I'd venture to say the ALL doctors don't know everything, although some of them would have you think they do.) (Cary, NC) Who just found out that a doctor from another list has been called as a witness AGAINST us in Due Process ... Somebody who claims to be very concerned about the patients he or she sees, and somebody who has never even seen us or our child!persistentC@...
