Hi Irma, Joan, Margaret and all,

Miles has had driver's Ed and will get his permit this Friday. Then it

will start, we weren't in a big rush and luckily he wasn't either. We have

similar laws here restricting who he can drive etc. Luckily, his bus, lets

him off about 1 minute away from home so I haven't had to worry about

transportation for him to and from school since we moved here to Orinda. I

am not looking forward to him driving, but I guess it has to happen

eventually.

On another note, my sister and her DH are in Paris and I am watching their

baby, 9 months old, for them. So we are quite busy, the baby wants me to

hold her around the clock or she cries. She slept with and I last night

since she woke up and cried everytime I tried to lay her down and Miles is

having his birthday party sleepover tonight with 4 of his friends.

Marisa,

Miles 16, Brook 12, Genevieve 5

Marisa,

We have three drivers in the family now. It DOES get easier and

when you still have little ones like us, it comes in quite handy for

trips to the stores and getting the younger ones to games and lessons

and such. Surely, it comes with a huge fear factor, but

unfortunately we can't freeze them all at the age of two!!! LOL

Hey, you are a GREAT sister!!!!! I sure hope your sister gets a

chance to reciprocate!!! ;-)

Donna,

Thanks for the words of support on the driving, we'll see how it goes.

Right now Miles is a much greater asset watching Brook for me as I do all of

the shopping, errands and driving. Also Miles would rather stay home with

Brook than take Genny to ballet or soccer, he is kind of a shy kid.

The last two months Miles has been great watching Brook and Genny more

than usual since my baby-sitter for Brook was very ill in the Hosp and almost

didn't make it. She is 75 and is just starting to come back and watch Brook

again, but she has to take it very easy.

Regarding my sister, Jackie is a great sister and has watched Brook for

me several times so that we could go on a vacation, my other sister who lives

in Boston, has also done that for us. So, I'm very happy to help

her out, it's just that the baby, Ally, misses her Mommy and Daddy a lot and

needs one on one attention. Miles is holding her right now so that I can read

my email. Yesterday my Mom came over and helped so that I could get some

things done, like sit Brook on the toilet and give him a bath and give him

his meds and feed him his lunch and breakfast and change his diaper. It's

pretty hard to do that while you are holding a baby. It really brings back

memories of when Genny was a baby. Also Brook and Genny do not like it when

Ally cries, it makes them cry too!! Well, Genny would like some lunch. Happy

New Year everyone!!
