Guest guest
I'm curious to know if anyone else had a child that stopped growing after receiving vaccines. When my son received his 3rd round of shots which included the 3rd DPTH and the first Hep B, he began to wheeze 3 days after, ended up in the hospital on the 9th day, and lost his appetite. He had just started on solids and was eating most everything offered, but after the shots, he wouldn't touch anything and would only nurse. He is now 21 months and beginning to eat a bit more, but nothing like he should be. Before the shots he was gaining an average of 1.5-2 lbs a week, after the shots, he gained about 2 pounds in 14 months. He wears size 12 month clothes and size 2 diapers. There are 11 month old babies twice his size. He seems to be developing okay in every other way, except for his diet and growth. I have no doubts that further vaccinations would finish him off one way or the other. When I look over his medical records, it's painfully obvious that everything started right after his last round of shots. Yet the drs scratch their heads in puzzlement and tell me they don't know what is wrong with him. They just want to run endless tests, and after the 3rd round of tests, I cancelled all future appointments and am looking into alternative methods of treatment. About the only things he will eat are snack type foods, chips, cheesedoodles, and chocolate. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? __________________________________________________
Guest guest
, My son is very similar in all ways you describe except he kept on growing and has always been big, which leads the doctors to look at me as if I have two heads when I express concern. He lost his appetite pretty suddenly around the first MMR. Prior he ate anything and everything. He also became withdrawn and developed sensory issues. His food preferences to this day are very limited (french fries, chips, chicken, chocolate candy, soda). I believe my son had lead exposure around this time as well, but the only thing that does not fit that profile is the failure to grow part. Is this a possibility for your son? Most people are NOT very aware of the dangers of lead around us (mini-blinds for example). Also, in case she doesn't see your post, make sure you talk with Alison Plante on this list. Her son began to gain weight once given zinc supplements, and has done quite well with them. Carol G
Guest guest
and Carol: My son, Caleb, also stopped eating right after his MMR. But he didn't stop growing either. People look at him and say... " Well, he obviously doesn't have the dietary issues with his autism...he's so healthy looking. " When I tell them he only eats chips, crackers, popcorn, pretzels, chicken nuggets and a specific brand of fries, their eyes bulge out!!!! He's very big for his age and strong, well-built, healthy-looking skin, hair, etc...You really would never know just looking at him.

Guest guest
My son was similar, but gained weight after implementing the GF/CF diet, and then greater improvement with supplementing digestive enzymes. We (his doctor and I) believe he wasn't digesting things properly, then not absorbing the proper nutrients. cugoodson@... wrote: > , > > My son is very similar in all ways you describe except he kept on growing and > has always been big, which leads the doctors to look at me as if I have two > heads when I express concern. > > He lost his appetite pretty suddenly around the first MMR.
