Guest guest
The Poling case was an important advancement to the cause, maybe even a watershed development -- but we are far from having won the war. So hungry are we for justice for our children, perhaps we have lost some perspective. I see other small signs of it on this list. That cute bumpersticker with the four monkeys, for example, that mentions the various pro-vaccine militia acronyms. I doubt many people " out there " would yet have much idea what it means. I found it sad, not hilarious, because it is still so much an insider joke. Guest guest
I wonder if the Poling case will even be mentioned when McCarthy has her interview with our CBC folks tomorrow. Somehow, I doubt it, as we have barely heard any mention of the Poling case in our media in Canada (and whatever little there has been out west, has been relatively negative, for the most part). Guest guest
This past week has been too emotional for me. I've had a hard time sleeping. I've been reliving my kids fall into autism-even looking at the before and after videos and pulling out the vaccine records and matching them to the date stamp on the video. Just today, I said I have to get away from all this. We have to be tough-for our kids. > > > > It's like after you finish your exams or a project and it's all gone > > well and then you find that your mood sinks for some weird reason? > > > > And I'm not even on the front lines of the controversy (no more than > > all of us are for having effected kids), haven't, say, presented to > > Congress or even demonstrated yet. Guest guest
Holly, I remember you well and with deep appreciation and gratitude for your assistance on earlier lists, like gfcfkids. You mean the world to me and my son, and no doubt many others who don't know where to find you and how to thank you. And, of course, Lenny, in ways too great to express. In quiet, profound ways, throughout the world, the silented voices of our children are being heard. With deepest gratitude to all of parent-warriors and the injured children, Nulani > > This past week has been too emotional for me. I've had a hard time > sleeping. Guest guest
I just wanted to chime in. I have had the complete post-concession blues. Sometimes, I wish that I didn't care so much because it just hurts more. Sometimes, I wish I was a more self absorbed person because life would be easier that way, but it's really a good thing that we're not. This list and others like it are so meaningful because our pain, our triumphs, our challenges are so unique. The typical family has no idea just what we deal with on a daily basis and just how much we care. How much we care about our very injured children and the whole generation of children. People just don't get it. I love you guys/gals on this list because I laugh at your sarcastic humor, read letters of advocacy, hear the stories of success, and listen to the stories of pain. In my daily life, people are complaining about the long lines or traffic. Nothing.......Nothing to really complain about. I identify with your feelings and understanding where you all are coming from. I wish we weren't in this situation, but I can definitely say that I'm glad that we are fighting together. Lenny & Kim will get us all laughing soon enough. Lynne Just a side note -Chocolate seems to help with the post-consession blues. It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms and advice on AOL Money Finance. Guest guest
What about a " Million Mom (and Dad) March " on Washington D.C. Where parents are standing up to the continued increase in vaccinations as well as " all the legislation " that the PHARMA lobby is pushing on the American public. Afterall, it is our country and our children who suffer. I think we may just have the numbers (including aunts, uncles, grandparents). I know a lot of people who are " sick and tired " of all the ED, depression, sleep deprived, etc pharma commericals which play on the major networks continually 24/7. What do you think? > The Poling case was an important advancement to the cause, maybe even a watershed development -- but we are far from having won the war. > > So hungry are we for justice for our children, perhaps we have lost > some perspective. Guest guest
Yes, infants accross the country (and the world) are still being hyper-vaccinated because too many parents won't get the " punchline " yet. It was business as usual the next day after the Poling announcement and vaccine manufacturing didn't miss a beat. Scores of kids got their first diagnosis, tons more began to regress, countlesss pediatricians ignored the connection. And our kids are still sick and no one came to all our doors with giant cardboard checks saying they were going to pay for treatments. So, no, the fight's not over. You're quite right. The Poling disclosure was a good moment though. Guest guest
Same here, I felt emotionally drained by last Friday. Then I had to cuss out an aunt who essentially said we should ship off Allie somewhere. This aunt had initially encouraged me to fight for Allie. It was extremely painful to listen to someone think so little of my children and myself, but like you said, we have to be strong. Better to tell an selfish, stupid, materialistic person where to stick it than to let it impact the ability to fight for my child. So yeah, I'm definitely feeling it. Nothing wrong with pulling back from the boards, news, etc until we get our heading. Like you said, we have to be tough for our kids, but listening & reading to a thousand different idiots who know nothing about autism trying to interject how and why we're all wrong isn't always necessary. Debi > > This past week has been too emotional for me. I've had a hard time > sleeping. Guest guest
Debi, is right, don't listen to that garbage. My own sister laid that on me in January while visiting her. I hadn't seen her in 9 years. She met Aladsair when he was 6 mos., and has never even met Conrad. On my last day there she started in on how I need to get both of the kids in an institution as soon as they turn 18 and get on with my life. I was livid. This is coming from someone who is self-absorbed, opinionated, and has never had a meaningful relationship. It's a good thing that she doesn't want children, because she shouldn't be allowed to have them. Don't listen to that crap! I've been down this week too. The epidemic deniers won't be able to deny it for much longer, and the truth will out. Stay strong! > > > > This past week has been too emotional for me. I've had a hard time > > sleeping. Guest guest
What I'm waiting for is for a family (prefereably several) who get their kids mito tested BEFORE vax'ing, it comes back clean.. Then the Vax thinking it's safe, but the kid starts to regress anyway, and they do mito testing again and THIS time is comes back as disordered.. That would shoot a really large hole in the goverenments foot on their pet theory of " pre-existing condition " (Of coure, Hannah's mito problem was genetic, but non-symptomatic, not 'mercury induced') Jim

Guest guest
, yikes. People who don't have children understand even less than those who do but are in denial. It's like asking you to put your heart and kidneys in an institution. Don't they get that we fight because these kids ARE us, body and soul? > > > > > > This past week has been too emotional for me. Guest guest
You get used to the ups and downs. The Poling case is a huge step forward for us but the war is far from over. Our enemies are hugely powerful, but they are not invicible, they have many flaws that we have and will continue to exploit to the benefit of our children and the truth. We have endless amounts of work to do and we will be at this for years. > > It's like after you finish your exams or a project and it's all gone > well and then you find that your mood sinks for some weird reason? > > And I'm not even on the front lines of the controversy (no more than > all of us are for having effected kids), haven't, say, presented to > Congress or even demonstrated yet. Guest guest
Ana, What's sad is that with a few exceptions, my sister is still in the mind-set that she was when we were in our early 20's. Her main concern is finding vintage " hipster " clothing, going to concerts and shows, and keeping up with the latest " alternative " music. AND she will be 40 in April!! It's like she is stuck in a time capsule. LOL. She is so far removed from reality itself, and even further removed from family bonds and caring deeply for anyone. So, I knew what to expect from the outset when I went to visit her. It was a short trip because we admittedly drive each other batty if we spend more than 3 days together. As long as I avoided talking about the kids too much and advocacy (which is hard because these two things are my life), we did alright. I avoid meaningful conversations with her and people like her because she is so damn negative about everything. So as long as we were going to movies, shows, shopping, she was tolerable. It's the idle time that was unbearable! BTW, I had to set her straight when she brought up the chromosome found in 1% of all autism cases, too! > > > > > > > > This past week has been too emotional for me. Guest guest
Thanks, Maurine. I am really close to my brother and my mother (They are in Alaska). We talk at least 5 days a week. Guest guest
seeing a mom get trashed for having the courage to stand up and fight for her child - by some faceless anonymous troll this week - happens over and over again - still going on - like the Poling's didn't even exist - sometimes it feels like that kind of ignorance extends to the world, and that is depressing as hell. How many times can you read that your child is either a free rider or a throw-away, and that you should just shut up and suck it up when they're injured? Is the entire world gone into utilitarian mode? every once in a while, i have to walk away from the entire discussion. and I'm just a lurker, for the most part. kudos to the warriors out there who take it to the streets, and the voices like DK and Lenny and others who can so eloquently set the record straight. If not for that, it would be really easy to go under some days. -randy > > > > > > > > This past week has been too emotional for me. I've had a hard > time > > > > sleeping. Guest guest
Glad you survived that three days! Did you harsh her mellow, lol? I know. I used to know all these people who's hip hairdos and alternative taste in music didn't correspond to any alternative thought or consideration. I love Cobain's lyrics mocking folks like this. I wrote this before: it's agony for me to be around the " uninitiated " at this point if the subject comes up, so you must be made of stronger stuff than me for making it through without burying her in the backyard. I'm at this point in learning things that I'm desperate to be around people who know MORE, and it's particularly painful to be around people who have a death grip on all the " denial science " . Pharma and the CDC know what they're doing by cranking out this endless stream of denial-studies. They're feeding the people who'll hang on to anything if it supports their rationale for not caring, for not doing anything, for pretending that it doesn't effect them, for taking the road most travelled, etc.. > > > > > > > > > > This past week has been too emotional for me.
