CONCEDING POLING'S CASE PREVENTED A PRECEDENTThe Poling's case WAS set to be a test case for the other 5000 pendingcases. Since the government settled it, the Poling's case is no longera test case for the other 5000. HOWEVER The vaccine apologists are angry because thePoling's case HAS become binding precedent in another court, the courtof public opinion -- which is out of their control. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you Kirk. This is exactly what happened and why it happened. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NPR report quoted Mohan, CEO of the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, on the government's decision to "concede" the Poling case thus: "there is no scientific evidence to suggest that vaccines themselves can cause either mitochondrial disorders or autism". The same NPR report quoted CDC Gerberding: "The government has made absolutely no statement indicating that vaccines are a cause of autism. That is a complete mischaracterization of the findings of the case and a complete mischaracterization of the science we have at our disposal today". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This decision does not present any "science" because the government experts reviewed the "science" and found it so compelling they "conceded" their case. Indeed, Ms. Gerberding and Mr. Mohan are just like the rest of us, they have been DENIED opportunity to review the "science" that caused the government to concede. To suggest there was NO "science" would be to "mischaracterize" the issue, as Ms. Gerberding appears quite willing to do. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kirk is right on the money.....this case HAS set a binding precedent in the court of public opinion.
