Guest guest
We just finished round 4 of dmsa only last friday and got some regression, soft poops and very bad nappy rash. My son has since bounced back and rash is getting better but was it a yeast flare up we saw or something linked to chelation ? How best to treat the rash if it occurs again ? I have heard about a 'mercury rash' or is this just yeast ? thx paul
Guest guest
> Hi all, > I wonder if any one can tell me what causes the side effect of " mercury rash " > during chalation, and if anything can be done to reduce it. > Thanks > Lee Lee, According to Dr. a Bickle, in a talk given at the ACAM 2000 Mercury Toxicity Workshop, vitamin B12 (hydroxycobalamin) can help to reduce the mercury rash. She cites experience by Europeans using DMPS with vitamin B12. She also investigated reports of s- syndrome (SJS) in patients using DMPS. Her conclusion was that none of the cases were in fact SJS , but rather " mercury rash " . SJS is noted as a rare side effect of using DMSA in the DAN chelation protocol position paper. A good site for information about SJS is http://www.emedicine.com/EMERG/topic555.htm . Regards,
