Guest guest
Hi all, Well, good and bad.... Caleb (ds and trisomy 9p) finally rolled from his back to his tummy on Monday which was his 7 month birthday..he now rolls both ways!! Yah! Now for the bad...Dylan continues to be acharacter! Just a few minutes ago, with three of us within arms reach, Dylan decided he was done playing Jumpstart toddler on the computer and proceeded to shove the printer and both speakers off the back of the desk before we could do anything! I thought he broke our printer but it did end up being ok. whew! Just when I think he is improving, I have a couple of bad days with him like I have for the last three days! Oh well , onward we go!!! Guest guest
Hi , From a mom who has been through the twos and threes and fours--the other day, I was observing around our house and I realized there is " nothing " that has not been explored, taken apart, taken out of, played with (even if it is not a toy), cut (yesterday, Sara had a pair of her kid scissors and was cutting the toe out of her brand new pair of pink leotards), tasted (she still sneaks hand cream, play dough, and markers, occasionally); all of this exploring etc., seems to leads to " things " eventually being broken, torn, or lost. As long as my computer still works, all is well; and we will continue the process of teaching Miss Sara how to treat all the things she is so curious about. Guest guest
Hurray Caleb!! Progress!! Watch out he'll be crawling before you know it. As for Dylan, I know how you feel. Ashton is full speed ahead from the moment she gets up. She did the same thing to one of the lamps in the den the other day. Our VCR doesn't stand a chance. She puts tapes in it the wrong way. The list goes on. I am soo dreading the terrible twos with Ashton and they are almost upon us. mom to Landon (Ds) and Ashton 22 months --- PeggyLago@... wrote: > Hi all, > Well, good and bad.... > Caleb (ds and trisomy 9p) finally rolled from his > back to his tummy on Monday > which was his 7 month birthday..he now rolls both > ways!! > Yah! > > Now for the bad...Dylan continues to be acharacter! > Just a few minutes ago, > with three of us within arms reach, Dylan decided he > was done playing > Jumpstart toddler on the computer and proceeded to > shove the printer and both > speakers off the back of the desk before we could do > anything! Guest guest
Hi I have a story about Sara's babysitter's dog, too! (I won't go into detail, but I did call the nurse advice line about what Sara had injested. She was fine.) That was almost two years ago, but I know what you mean about being concerned about what they put in their mouths--What kind of puppy did you get? We almost decided to get a puppy about a month ago and then we thought of all of our out-of-town trips this spring and summer, and I'm just not sure I am ready for another " Baby " because guess who would be taking care of puppy? Meeee!! You are a trooper! Sara's latest, speech-wise, is to imitate her nine-year old brother by being a smart-alec. The other night at CCD, Sara's teacher said to her, " remember you are not suppose to eat play dough " . Sara said to her " daaaaaa " . Her teacher was kind of chuckling when she told me part-way through the class; however, by the end of the class, her teacher was a bit more serious when she said to me, " Sara was really quite a smart alec tonight. " Then when we arrived home, I was telling her Dad about the evening, so he asked her if she was a smart alec, Sara said " A little bit " . We were so thrilled with her putting three words together that we laughed inappropriately. It is difficult to be stern with these cuties, but very necessary to put an end to inapproprate behavior and smart alec words! Guest guest
Marcia It's nearly impossible for me to resist Sara stories, probably cause she's closer in age to Danny, and because I find it so funny when you talk about the indiscriminate eating of things. I'm hoping the puppy we are housebreaking doesn't leave something on the rug that Danny gets to before me..... Guest guest
Hi Marcia- I have to tell you I was laughing so hard reading your note. It so reminds me of my Rudy's younger years. One little funny Rudy recently did is he was getting ready for school one morning (which he does mostly by himself) and had the bathroom door closed. This tends to be a problem so I went to check on him and he had his older brothers shaving cream and was using it as mousse in his hair!!! We laughed so hard it hurt!! This is just to let you all know that the fun goes on even in the teens!! 1 mom to Rudy (ds) &
