Guest guest
Hi All, I have a couple of questions: 1. I have a friend that I communicate with via e-mail from Myersville, MD. She has six-year old boy twins. She also had a brother who had Down Syndrome, but that died when he was a little boy. He left a huge impact on her and she would like to donate either time or money or both to an organization that supports Down Syndrome children. Any ideas? 2. Sara's doctor mentioned that Sara begin using a nebulizer for her chronic sinisitis. Does anyone have experience with nebulizers? If they worked? or what they do? Thanks in advance for any answers. Guest guest
Marcia: In response to your first question, there's lots of organizations who would like a donation of time or money. She could check into whether there is a local DS support group in her area. Local groups always need money for group events, etc. Also, there's The ARC, National Down Syndrome Society or National Down Syndrome Congress. Just a couple of suggestions. Regarding quesion #2, I have no personal experience w/a nebulizer, but my cousin's little boy (NDA), had chronic sinusitis and he was on a nebulizer plus he did nasal irrigation (I think w/a bulb syringe & saline) at the first sign of a gunky nose. Unfortunately his Mom chain-smoked around him and after a weekend visitation w/her he'd come home to his Dad,(my cousin) sick as all get out. It was a sunday night ritual, but it did get better as he got older. Judi-Mom to Sam & , 3, Identical Twins --- Rrietmann@... wrote: > Hi All, > > I have a couple of questions: > > 1. There are no local DS support groups up here. They start one every now and then and it will meet once or twice and then disappears again. They only agency I know of up here is the ARC of Frederick County or the therapeutic riding program in Frederick. Ask your friend if there are any multiples groups up here for me. I haven't heard of one but maybe she knows of one. mom of Bill(DS), and Alec (who will be 5! on 3-5) and Hunter age
Guest guest
Hi : I heard back from my friend, Kathy, who lives in Myersville. She was not able to locate the phone # of the Multiples Club that she knows about, but she did have an e-mail address. It is: www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/3637/. Hope this helps connect you. Also, thanks to everyone who answered my question regarding nebulizers. All of the information will help Sara's doctor and I make an informed decision.
