Since Maggie's diagnosis, I have read many books pertaining to Down

syndrome. Some are great, some are not so great and some are just

annoying.............But, I think I have just finished one of the great

ones. " Differences in Common " by Marilyn Trainer is excellent. She is so

real. She doesn't go on and on about our children being angels or as

parents, us being chosen...yada yada yada. She is funny, sarcastic, able to

see the humor in her child and the not so humorous parts of him. She

doesn't get hung up with politics or the right way to do things... I just

really liked the book and her voice in the book.
