We are patients of Dr. Holmes and have done (I'm guessing right now about 11

rounds of DMSA) We were told and are still being told NOT to expect to see

any good stuff until the ALA is added (which will hopefully be soon) I think

you even have to wait a couple of months for that progress.

As far as getting a random urine collection. Since is not potty

trained. we just got done doing a 6-hour random collection. I locked all

the bathroom doors and asked them to urinate every 45 minutes into a cup.

You may need to ask him to go every 30 minutes if he drinks a lot. This way

you won't give him a chance to urinate anywhere else but the cup.

Good luck

Tina

That is an amazing amount of mercury. Have you considered current exposure?

Have you thought about having other family members tested? I would think it

would be easier to do a stool test. This is also a better way to measure

mercury. ?? I think Doctor's Data does the stool test. Anyone? Are you

using any lipoic acid with the dmsa? If he has all this mercury I would be

very concerned about current exposure. Does he eat alot of seafood? Was the

hair sample current rather than baby hair?

Dear ,

You are not alone. I am waiting hoping praying for words from my nearly

8 year old daughter who is also not fully potty trained. She was high in

mercury, too. (though not as high as your ). I think we need to be

patient. It took years to accumulate this level of toxicity so we've got to

allow them time to heal. How much does weigh? I have my Sydney at

50mg, staying slighter higher than the formerly recommended 1mg per pound of

bodyweight (she weighs 40lbs) and have seen very few negatives. You may

want to lower the dose if is having difficulty.

Hang in there!

Labs also have collection bags that can be affixed to their " private " so

you can just have him pee away for the 24 hours if you want.

One thought about the sample: Will he sit on a toilet and urinate? If so you

can use a " hat " like they use in hospitals to get urine samples. Just put it

underneath the toilet seat and bring him to the toilet every hour or so

during the third morning of chelation for a total of 6 hours of urine

collection. The mercury levels you are reporting seem especially high,

particularly getting levels in the blood. From what you are presenting, I

would keep chelating. It may take awhile to see results.
