Guest guest
A-CHAMP sent out an alert a little while ago regarding Allegheny County (Pittsburgh), and how officials there seem to have circumvented the entire process from the State Dept. of Health and are now requiring an additional 3 vaccinations for school children including chicken pox and meningitis. Everyone in the County, including me, received notice from their school districts informing parents that these vaccinations are now MANDATORY. I of course claimed religious exemption, but I wonder how many parents out there don't know that they can do that. And, #2 -- how the heck did they circumvent the state Dept. of Health is beyond me. So I called a friend who is an investigative reporter with a local TV station and they're doing a story on this tomorrow. Wish me luck. I'm basically going to say, if you had a child with autism and there was a very plausible theory that the sheer number of vaccinations that your child received overwhelmed his immune system (I will also cite statistics from Generation Rescue), and there was even a remote chance that it could further harm your child, would YOU do it?? The answer is no. And we're not even talking about mercury here. The truth is, no studies have been done on the number of vaccinations now required by the age of 36 months and the ramifications that those vaccinations may have on the human immune system. The researchers are all saying " vaccinations are safe " because of a few studies on mercury, but they haven't AT ALL studied the effects of the NUMBER of vaccinations given. (10 to 36 in what? 10 years?) So the researchers are spinning that as " vaccines are safe, " when in fact, we don't know that. If a parent wants to opt out, they can claim religious exemption and/or if they want to comply, they can have simple bloodwork done to test titers to see if they even need it. Now -- if I'm wrong about any of this, someone please clue me in.
