Guest guest
I believe sulfur plays a major role in detoxing. I just started giving my son MSM 3 days ago and the difference in him is incredible. His behavior has improved he looks healther in the face happier and the sweaty clammy hands are gone. In just 2 days of giving the MSM, which is a sulfur. I have a tape entitled the miracle of MSM it is blowing me away what this supplement can do for us. Guest guest
No, Ken, I wasn't kidding. When we went to Egypt this past December, I had long talks with the old aunt who claims her son got better after giving him cabbage water. My sister in law had no clue as to why her son started talking and got better.....We could never get our son to drink the cabbage water.... (he just ate onions non stop - which we stopped once chelation began) You must think we're crazy... but when I was asking the questions about how those relatives were when they were young and trying to elicit all the possible things they may have done to help their children, I was crying. andria, Egypt is on the Mediterranian Sea and yes, the summer is humid. Both my husband and I have some education between us, but I'd stand on my head to help my beloved son get better. Guest guest
- How do you make cabbage water, and what do you mix it with to make it palatable? (I don't imagine it's in the same league as Evian or Poland Spring.) - SB Aly wrote: > No, Ken, I wasn't kidding. Guest guest
Sally, The old aunt in andria is about 71 years old. She has little education but life itself. Her cabbage water story is probably based on much folklore. I do not know why she used it with her son. She simply boiled a large cabbage in water, and had the child drink the water. This cousin visited my husbands family when he was about 6. (my husband was about 8 at the time.) The kids were instructed to go easy on him because he had no language and as my husband remembers, had all kinds of autistic symptoms. A year later, they visited again and my husband could not believe it was the same kid. He was fine. The other boy in question is my husbands nephew. He is 15 and of very normal intelligence. His older brother described him as being from another planet. One of his big complaints was that his brother didn't like to play soccer. I stayed with this family for 1 month last December in Egypt. My sister in law shared many stories that revealed his many autistic symptoms before the age of 6. She had no idea why after that age, he developed normal language and intelligence. She did nothing unusual. That's when I found myself crying and pressing for any more information she might think of. After describing this boy to Dr. McEachin, our behavioral doctor and expert in autism, he very easily said the child might have Aspergers S. To me, he is just fine/ he just eats differently/lots of cucumbers and tomatoes. There is no comparison to our son who has a diagnosis of PDD NOS. This is something genetic in our family. That's why I'm not able to understand why the mercury treatment of DMSA and ALA is working very well on our son now for the past 6 weeks. It is the best we have ever seen him since his regression at 20 months of age, when he lost all language, stopped sleeping, eating, and began to bang his head, pull away, and throw terrible tantrums. Our son reacted well to prednisone with increased language, also. But the overall improvement was not as good as what we are seeing now. Dr. Chez described him as a variant of Landau Kleffner syndrome. He did well under ABA-DTT for 6 years and at 10, has a language level of about 6 or 7 years. I don't think he is retarded, but he sure has a goofy laugh that makes him sound retarded. His pronunciation is not clear and he talks a little monotone. For years my son has eaten raw onions as if they were apples. I have restricted them from him during this chelation for the past 2 weeks, and he seems better - but really too early to say. My husband is an engineer with out of sight math abilities. He remembers not answering the teacher when he was young even though he knew the answers. He is not autistic or aspergers, nor is he odd. He's super funny and the best father/husband around. Hope this answers your questions. Happy holidays! Guest guest
Sally and , When I worked at a health food store more than a decade ago (before children!), they trained us that there was something in cabbage coined " Vitamin U " which had healing effects on the gut mucosa. We didn't sell it, so we knew that just as a bit of useful trivia, but from studying what causes ulcers, I think it is pretty likely that whatever that substance is that is having effects, it probably acts by helping to resulfate intestinal or gastric GAGs, and thus discourage H. pylori. It may do that by supplying sulfur, perhaps, or it may do something to optimize the sulfotransferases which do that job, or even have effects on GAG turnover, similar to Vitamin A. I never have looked that up to see what substance it actually was, but it sounds like a good idea to do so! Guest guest
, How interesting that your son craved onions - onions are very high in sulfur, as is garlic and cabbage. Guest guest
AND how much and how often do they drink it? Guest guest
Gals, interestingly enough, I recall that my grandfather, who had to have 3/4 of his stomach surgically removed due to ulcers, could NOT eat cooked cabbage (which he LOVED!) without experiencing severe gastric pain. I know this because he'd give in and eat it now and then and suffer for it, big time. Why do you suppose that would be? I have unfortunately inherited his stomach and have lately been having to manage a stomach that wants to erupt into hiatal hernia with every stress that comes along. Needless to say, I stay away from cabbage!! I fear my autistic daughter may have inherited some of these gastric tendancies as well but is suffering at a far younger age. I'm very curious about the cabbage water as something she could drink during " off " days because she does so much better when she is ON the Chemet than off. Would the cabbage water be more effective than the Epsom Salts baths I wonder?
