Guest guest
Pat Howregan, 1. YES, Thimerosal is long-term toxic to the human brain at levels above 0.001 part-per- million (ppm), a level 100,000 times lower than the 100-ppm level in a vaccine that is " preserved " with 0.01% Thimerosal. 2. The mercury from Thimerosal that gets trapped in the human brain has a half-life of about 2 decades. 3. To answer the question you are asking TODAY, as anyone should, about the effects of giving a pregnant woman a Thimerosal-preserved Rho serum injection at about 28 weeks of pregnancy on the in utero child, you should go to the CoMeD web site: http://www.mercury-freedrugs.org and read the Geiers recently published retrospective study of the effect of injecting Rho serum into pregnant women that establishes the evidence of risk of harm and causal link to the harm observed that was not available to science in 2004 (and, by the way, please do also read the biased Rho study by et al. and do tell us how the study was " tricked up " to give the desired " no statistically significant " causal link finding (hint: case exclusion as well as the inclusion of mothers who would have been given Rho serum shots that were Thimerosal free -- after all, in a retrospective " cause and effect " study, the easiest way to reduce the magnnitude of the effect is to include cases where the causal factor being studied is absent in the " test " group and to exclude those cases where the magnitude of the causal factor is the greatest [multiple Rho shots during pregnancy in this case]). 4. In the 2004 legal case, the KEY question was whether not the Thimerosal mercury in a Rho product administered during pregnancy was linked autism. 5. Based on the preceding realities and the studies published by Geier DA and Geier MR since 2004, it is clear that you are a provacateur who is attempting to slander Dr. Geier's good name because you do not like the scientific findings that his published studies continue to report. Based on all of the proceeding, it seems to this member of EoH that you are a lurker and because your conduct [as evidenced in your repeated posts, indicates that your interests are in personal attack and slandering others by inference, inuendo and other means] is at odds with EoH list policy, you (and your friends) should be encouraged to post elsewhere. Hopefully, the list moderators will see your posts for what they are and appropriately address your repeated attempts to discredit Dr. Geier rather than to provide proof that his research findings are somehow false. Further, why is it that those, like yourself, who cannot attack the validity of the research so often resort to attacking the researcher? Finally, I glad you reported that " Geier answered truthfully. " Respectfully, Dr. King http://www.dr-king.com PS: Please do read Heinonen et al., " Birth Defects and Drugs in Pregnancy " (1977) and do tell us why we should discount their findings, reported in the text and Appendices " 4 " and " 5, " of a statistically significant increased relative risk of birth defects in the child WHEN, in a government-sponsored study of 50,000+ pregnant women, the drugs they were given, and the birth defects observed in the children of these mothers (pregnant during the period from 1958 to 1965?), about 2300 pregnant women out of the 50,000+ in the study were given an influenza vaccine shot (all of which were Thimerosal-preserved then) DURING pregnancy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ At 08:11 1/22/08 -0800, you wrote: > >Yes, thimerosal at and above certain does >is certainly neurotoxic. Guest guest
Pat, Dr. Geier is a good man, a good researcher and one of the better biomed docs I've worked with in getting help for my daughter. And... HE BILLS INSURANCE so I don't have to spend any more of my dwindling nest egg. (Biomed is great, but so much is out of pocket... as is the majority of the behavioral therapies our kids need.) Just because he has to factually state that there are no studies to CONCLUSIVELY prove causation... doesn't mean that there isn't a large body of studies to show that the crap they're poisoning our kids with isn't causing damage. And Dr. Geier has personally done a lot of science (both epidemiological and clinical) to show that these kids have suffered damage from their vaccines. My outrage isn't pointed at Dr. Geier. It is pointed at the CDC and any scared ostrich who won't pull their head out of the sand to see WHO IT TRULY IS that is endangering their children: The Big Pharma Machine. > > > > > > > > > Geier told a judge in 2004 that he couldn't name a single > study > > > that conclusively links thimerosal to autism. Guest guest
Fundamental Principle of American Justice:  Innocent until proven guilty.Another principle: a complaint is merely an accusation and may have no substance or support, whatsoever. Any person can make a complaint against a medical doctor. Being investigated carries no weight whatsoever. Absent proof, the only purpose to publishing the fact that a medial doctor is "being investigated" is to unfairly and maliciously damage that medical doctor's reputation and to intimidate him and those around him. You can share whatever you like and express your opinion for whatever purpose you like, but the information you share regarding Dr. Geier amounts to nothing. On Jan 25, 2008, at 4:18 PM, Pat Howregan wrote:We all have opinions, and we're all free to share them. Guest guest
It looks like being professionally threatened and harassed is pretty much a badge of honor in the fight against Big Pharm. Being lurked on and spuriously reported on by the ND spazi is more like one of those Boyscout nature challenge merit patches. Still a form of recognition for work well done but you had to get a poison ivy rash on your a$$ to earn it. Breggin went on television about a decade ago and warned that SSRIs trigger suicidality and violence. At the clear behest of pharma, the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill- the mental illness predecessor of AS, in terms of drug company front-group status-- tried to sue Breggin for his license. The charge was that his statements would cause people to stop or never to start taking SSRI antidepressants (there's a town in Colorado that wishes ' parents had heard the news). NAMI failed when the international psychiatric reform community poured out to defend Breggin. Now there are black box warnings on SSRIs and news of a slew of school shootings, murders, bizarre acts and suicides related inextricably to the drugs. What did the charges against Breggin mean? Only that pharma profits were threatened by Breggin and his organization and that the industry complex had garnered an inconceivable amount of power. Sometimes a measure of how right someone is can be taken from the size of the gale storm against them. Someone who'd been very close to the situation remarked to me that, had Breggin made more of a dent in pharma profits, he'd be more than just tiresomely harassed, he'd be dead. I suppose he can thank the lousy embedded press for making his work less effective and " denting " than it might have been all along. > > > > > > > > > > > > Geier told a judge in 2004 that he couldn't name a single > > > study > > > > > that conclusively links thimerosal to autism. Guest guest
Dadfourkids: you're correct. How many news stories have we seen lately about pharmaceutical companies manipulatingdata. And I seem to recall the Denmark autism (MMR?) study where they diluted the results with more kids after not gettingthe results they needed. "statistical manipulation" is exactly what I would call it. Re: THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Statistcal manipulation hardly qualifies as evidence. You are either a planted shill or a fool. Guest guest
You are changing the subject and slipping out of the issue of why you cited the the nonprobative  "fact" that Dr. Geier is "being investigated."But I take it from your response that your publication of the "investigation" of Dr. Geier was inappropriate, because you equate it with other allegations that you consider spurious.Thank you for your concession that your proffer of "fact" about Dr. Geier is equally spurious, unfounded and irrelevant. On Jan 25, 2008, at 6:43 PM, Pat Howregan wrote:I agree.
