Guest guest
chrzeerose@... has just sent you a piece from HuffingtonPost.com Kirby says that the government "Conceded" to one of the pending test cases of the autism hearings. What does this all mean and isn't this a pretty big deal if I'm reading it correctly? Chrissy Kirby: The Autism-Vaccine Debate: Anything But Over Link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby/the-autismvaccine-debate_b_74853.html Memo to those who wanted the autism-vaccine contretemps to just go away: You lost. Exactly five years ago, I began research for my book Evidence of Harm, which looked into the possible link between mercury, vaccines and the tsunami of autism that now overwhelms our education system. Along the way, I have encountered many people -- in the government, in medical circles, in the media, on the Internet - who are furious at my attempts to shed light on this controversy, and utterly contemptuous of parents, doctors and anyone else who supports research into the hypothesized link between autism and vaccines. Many of these people, incredibly, still insist that autism is purely a genetic disorder with no known "cause" and probably no cureThey blithely claim that autism has always been with us, in the same epidemic numbers we see today, (If you're the parent of a young boy in New Jersey, by the way, you now face 1-in-60 odds of a diagnosis), we just never noticed, or else counted those kids as "quirky," or possibly retarded. Even officials at the CDC, who traced an e-coli outbreak to a single patch of California spinach within months, cannot say if autism is actually on the increase or not. Some experts, however, are beginning to understand that autism is clearly on the rise and, thus, must have an environmental component, coupled with a genetic underpinningBut they insist that vaccines or their ingredients (ie, mercury, live measles virus, aluminum) have nothing to do with the epidemic They really, really want this vexing vaccine chatter to cease ... Guest guest
Chrissy, They conceded to the fact that thimerosal made a bad condition worse. They did not concede to the fact that thimerosal caused autism. Some feel it was a safe move on their part to concede this case--safer this way than taking it any further. So I guess one could look at it as a good thing--but not a great thing. Don't know how to say it any better. Hope this helps you. Guest guest
Chrissy, Maureen and ALL OTHERS, Factually, 1. The government conceded one of the original three (3) " Thimerosal causes autism " test cases: Hannah Poling v. Sec HHS (vaccine court case 02-1466V) and yet Kirby did NOT name the case or state that it was a " Thimerosal causes autism " test case as: a. Selected by the plaintiffs' attorneys in the Autism Omnibus and b. Agreed to by the DOJ's attorneys for the respondent, Sec. HHS. 2. As Kirby reported, " 'In this case, the DOJ conceded that vaccines significantly aggravated a child's pre-existing autistic symptoms,' my source said, 'but the autism itself was caused by a congenital mitochondrial disorder that is entirely genetic.', " this MAY be what the DOJ source said as the report document is still sealed, BUT: a. As far as I know, there is no proof that Hannah Poling had " a congenital mitochondrial disorder -- much less a disorder that is genetic " ! b. Obviously, for whatever reason, the DOJ did NOT want the experts' reports (Dr. Mark R. Geier, MD who was one of the plaintiffs' experts, and Dr. Zimmerman, MD who was another expert for the plaintiffs) to be published where the public could read their findings as the following " sealed " vaccine court entries (from PACER) indicate: > >1:02-vv-01466-UNJ POLING, et al v. CALL and WRITE to our U.S. Representative and both of our U.S. Senators in the Congress that we elect, and 2. DEMAND that these currently sealed expert reports be released to the public 3. ASK their families and friends to do likewise BECAUSE: a. The government has conceded the case and b. The experts' testimony in the other test cases that has been heard (in the " Thimerosal and MMR causes autism " test cases) and/or is scheduled to be heard (in the " Thimerosal causes autism " test cases) and expert reports in two of the other " Thimerosal causes autism " (the " Second Theory " ) test cases have already been posted for all to read (see: http://www.uscfc.uscourts.gov/OSM/AutismDocket.htm). - 08/28/07 PSC's " Second Theory " Causation Reports of Dr. Sander Greenland and Dr. Deth -- Part I : 12/14/07 PSC's Expert Report in King Test Case - Sander Greenland: Epidemiologocal evidence http://www.uscfc.uscourts.gov/OSM/Autism/8%2028%2007%20pt1.pdf Part II : Sander Greenland's CV http://www.uscfc.uscourts.gov/OSM/Autism/8%2028%2007%20pt2.pdf Part III: C. Sec. HHS should also be posted so that all can read: a. What the medical experts actually found and b. NOT the REPORTED " spin " given by Kirby's unidentified source to the experts' uncontested (since the government conceded the case) medical findings . Then, the public should better understand what the medical and scientific experts found (established) concerning the original test-case proposition: " Thimerosal causes autism " and how others should proceed to determine if their child is mercury poisoned and establish that Thimerosal- containing vaccines were, or were not, a major cause for the harm observed in their children.
