Some mornings I just use a soft brush which doesn't even comb through her hair. I just don't have the heart to make her cry. When she is giving me a hard time I don't have any problem combing her hair. I only brush her hair one time a day. That's it. Even had to tell the school not to mess with her hair. You all may remember that thread. Diane
Guest guest
Ouch Diane, glad Rochelle is ok. I do know most of the time when something like this happens when another child is involved, names are not to be released. I know we wish all our kids to be verbal and times like this makes us feel so helpless when behavior issues are involved. I hope the staff keeps him away from Rochelle, especially when you don't need an added chore if she starts pulling hair again, due to this incident. Just send a note of your concern for her safety and a reminder of the experience you had to deal with when Rochelle use to do it. Is it noticeable where the boy pulled it off? Please give her a hug from me. Irma,14,DS/ASD > Ok, here I am and I can't sleep because of what happened today. I get a call > from school that Rochelle is ok. The fact that it took 5 adults to get him off her and she lost a chunk of hair sounds pretty extreme. At Maddie's school, they do body checks each and every day on every kid, to note any marks. If there's anything new on her body before they send her home, they have to write about it to me (I get a daily note from them). And I hear about everything...even if it's a scratch. Hey, Maddie has hurt other kids too, but the difference is it wasn't dangerous to them....personally I'm just glad it was Rochelle's hair he grabbed and not her throat (that was the kid in Maddie's class favorite thing to do). Guest guest
- Diane, I am so sorry of the incident that occured at school....I know that it had to be upsetting to you.....Im a teachers assistant to a precious DS 6 yr old boy....and I love him dearly...I remember one day the PE teacher allowed his students to go outside and there was this ONE mud puddle that ALex saw before I did and ran off towards it and sat down and grinned. I was on his heels but still couldnt get him in time and when he saw me coming to get him he started to get up again and I grabbed him before he tried to hug someone all muddy and when I did....I scratched the back of his neck I was sooooo upset and immediately went to the principal's office and talked to her and called the Mother to explain. Thank goodness she was so supportive....she told me she knew how much I loved and would never hurt him intentionally which was SO true. These children are the most loving individuals God ever created and Im so honored to be a part of 's life. I guess I said all of that to say this.....Im sure even with 5 adults right there all the time....things will happen in a split second before reaction takes over....Im so sorry that happened to Rochelle....and I do understand why you're upset over not knowing who it was that did this. At our school it would'nt have been an issue to tell you. Again Im sorry Diane. : ( Tory -- In @y..., " mum592001 " <ICANFIELD@s...> wrote: > Ouch Diane, glad Rochelle is ok.
