My musical prodigy

I just wanted to share this. I thought it was so cute. My son loves musical instruments and loves to have parades. When he lost all his speech, then regained it, he sang better than he spoke. In fact, he only spoke in single words but could sing entire Laurie Berkner songs from beginning to end.

and I will parade through the house playing instruments, go back to his room, switch instruments and do it again. We can do this for an hour sometimes. has quite an assortment of instruments. The one thing he was missing was an accordion. My aunt got him one for Christmas and we just exchanged gifts with her today. As soon as he opened it he said "an accordion" and was trying to rip it out of the box. As soon as it was out he grabbed it and held it the right way. One hand goes under a strap and with the other hand, just your thumb goes in a small strap. How he knew that is beyond me. He started marching around playing it. He got mad that I wouldn't let him play it on the car ride home. After he got his pajamas on I let him play it and he started singing as well.

Don't mind the mess. We were gone most of the day yesterday and today was a last minute get together that was planned in the midst of my doing laundry and some cleaning. I left a bigger mess than I started with today

Here's playing his accordion.

Thanks for looking. I'm so proud of him for just trying!
