As you may know, Wikipedia is one of the most visited sites on the Internet, and it's safe to assume that many parents and even doctors consult the resource on issues pertaining to autism, vaccinations, etc. Searches on keywords invariably favor Wikipedia articles.

The relevant articles are no all but hijacked by a group of editors who stridently oppose any mention of a controversy, vehemently defend the safety and efficacy of all vaccines, and seek to demonize anyone who opposes their views.

Anyone can edit Wikipedia, though it pays to register with a user name. Some of the articles that need attention are:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thimerosal_controversy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversies_in_autismhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaccine_controversy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autismhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidemiology_of_autism

I would encourage as many people as possible to edit these articles to ensure accuracy, completeness and a point of view. The best way to get the edits to stick is to cite sources carefully and avoid anything that smacks of polemics.
