Guest guest
All medications have risks. Propulsid is a very commonly used medication for ALL people who encounter GER. Unfortunately, there are few indicators of who will have complications and who will not. that's why meds are a very serious area that must be handled with much care and work best with lots and lots of documentation or even journal notes. fwiw, j

It worked very well for her. We stopped giving it to her for a year, then the reflux returned and they put her on reglan, which has been doing the job. Propulsid was taken off the market because of possibilities of furthering heart damage to those already at risk. Maddie does not have a heart condition and suffered no adverse effects from the propulsid. My GI doc said that you can still get propulsid on a *compassion* basis. But since the reglan is working, we did not have to do that. Donna
