Hi Charlyne, yep, same here! Well, I will definitely talk this over with the

ENT doc when I see him and see what he says about the newer procedure,

somnoplasty, which is less invasive and is not a " major operation " .....what

they do is shrink the tissues surrounding the tongue that involves the

obstruction, without having to " take out " anything! Go to somnoplasty.com

and see what info you can read up about....it sounds so much better than a to

nsilectomy, but who knows, everyone's different, and we may need to have the

kids' tonsils and adenoids out anyway!

Seems all I've been doing is going from doctor to doctor this summer.....I

knew it would all hit me all of a sudden. Dentist appt. went well, they saw

right away once he began destroying the lobby....hey, ADHD DOES have its

advantages! The dentist was really great and says the dental work 's

needing can be held up until the other doc's decide what other procedures

need to be done on , so that he will be " under " just once for

everything....I was so relieved to hear this!

Sorry to ramble on, I don't know when to stop...hehe.

Hi ,

i have been doing the same here. Zeb's tongue is not the problem, it is

definately the enlarged tonsils. I doubt the other procedure will do Zeb any

good. We still have more hearing tests and private ot sessions. I will be

spending my summer n the car. LOL

Charlyne

Thanks, Dawn! Funny, but while I was reading this, the dental office called

and wanted the phone numbers of all the other doc's that are doing procedures

on , so they can coordinate the " big day " ....the gal at the office who

called me says it's not at all unusual for all the docs and dentists to put

their heads together and come up with a convenient date that they all can be

available and go in and do whatever that needs to be done while the child is

under just ONE TIME.

I am so relieved by this!
