Dentist...am I being neurotic?

Ok so my son DJ (Pdd-NOS, ADHD, ODD) needs a filling and I got him an

appointment at referred dentist. They told me when I made the appointment that

I would be able to go back with him and there would be no issue...when we got to

the appointment yesterday they told me I could not go back with him no matter

what so we left. I called every dentist in town that takes Medicaid and they

all tell me I can't go back with him. I have asked him if he can go by himself

and he says yes...but I am worried that once he gets back there he will freak

out and they won't come get me!!! Any advice???
