Guest guest
Stefi, I discovered the ocd a little over a year ago - his anxiety was through the roof so we started on lexapro - that brought it down so far that, though I brought him for cbt/erp to learn what it's about, he's never effectively done it . . . just knows what it is. Now he sleeps well and though he has vivid dreams and nightmares the black cloud of impending doom is gone. His night terrors - they say are unrelated to bad dreams - lasted until he was nearly 13 . . . maybe even a few months longer - the theory is that they usually stop by age 12. His pediatrician taught me a trick for preventing night terrors (but not until he was 11 . . . wish I'd known sooner!) - so, the last year of them wasn't as bad. Kind of hard on the people who's houses he slept over at . . . > > Wow!! You are describing my daughter!!! She just woke up this morning crying > out my name because of a bad dream.
