Guest guest
My son holds his breath when he goes by a grave yard. He fears he will get germs from the air. He is on medication and has been seeing his psychologist since kindergarten. He is 11 years old now. Sheree

Walter - We're not anywhere near " past " anything yet with my dd's OCD, however from what I've seen online, read about, heard about, etc., I'm getting the impression that it is a rare (however not impossible) for someone to become *completely* symptom-free of OCD after treatment. Maybe you don't hear much about it because, once someone is that far recovered - they have no reason to be involved in groups such as this?? I have heard of folks who comment that they " haven't had a real problem with OCD for years " but that it does rear it's ugly head now & then - at which times they maybe pick up with therapy again or go back on meds, etc. Again, this is just the experiences I've heard/read about.
