When you live with someone and they see you day to day, the changes are less

dramatic. My folks see me about once a week and the changes are much more

dramatic to them than my hubby

When I see someone who hasn't seen me in months, it is shocking

who doesn't think this should make you sad cuz it is human nature

mary,

i know it is difficult, but try to judge your progress on how you feel, not

what others think... men are so out of touch sometimes to stuff like this!

we all make mistakes, what you did is in the past and you should just treat

it as a learning experience and let it go! don't beat yourself up over it!!

you don't deserve to be " yelled " at over it!!

I think maybe he feels threatned by your weight/inches lost. I would just

keep at it.....I think he does know you have lost he just feels insecure.

I know that clothes hide alot.......my dh's friend said to me one

day... " you don't ever wear anything to show off your body so who could ever

tell if you lost " .....well then one day I had on a pair of tight sweats and

a real tight t-shirt and he just stopped by to visit us(believe me or I

would have had my baggy apparel on) and he said " WOW have you lost

weight? " he had just seen me 5 days prior to that so clothes do really hide

weight loss!!! Hey how about putting on some sexy lingerie....I bet he

notices it then he he he P(who always wears 3 sizes too big)

I know how you feel. The people who live with you won't notice as much as

people who only see you every once in a while. I had a friend say that I

lost wieght and asked if it was on purpose because she didn't know whether

or not to be worried. I see her almost weekly, but we really only get a

chance to sit and talk and look each other over ever few weeks. My family

hasn't noticed and neither have I, really. I know I lost 70 lbs somewhere

and I have no clothes to wear, but I see the same person in the mirror. I

put on my size 8 jeans and wonder if they mis-marked the tag, but once in a

while I will catch a glimpse of myself in a window or mirror and be

surpised that that woman really could be about a size 8.

It can be frustrating that dh and kids don't see it. I guess I will just

have to flaunt it when it really shows. I hate the in-transition thing

where clothes don't fit and I don't really want to buy new ones because I

know they won't fit again in a couple of months.

On a personal note: Well, I don't think he is exactly jealous...I mean he

looks great.. he isn't over weight or anything at all. Now on the other hand

I think that maybe he is insecure...see, I am 25 and he is 44..maybe he

thinks that I am going lose weight and look great and end up leaving him for

some young guy, I don't know. More of a personal note: I did sleep with

another guy in January. It just happened and I think this has something to

do about it maybe. Personally I feel fine...I feel more entergenicI can

feel the muscles in my thighs..and I can tell I have lost there not to

mention the measuring tape says I have lost almost 2 inches on each thigh.

Sorry to go all into my personal life but I am trying to figure this out and

trying to stay focased on losing weight..and I am sorry if this sounds mean,

but I don't need for my own husband not to notice all these changes in me. I

do know to some extent that it is tru that when you live with someone

You made great progress, men are just not very

observent. My DH has learned...he asks like every

other day " did you lose weight " even when I didn't. He

is always saying he sees a difference....he is wise

beyond his years. Besides, do tae bo for you...all of

you, not just the weight.

Oh no, that's OK...I very much relaize that I did something really wrong. It

has made our relationship closer in some ways but in other ways...like this

one I think it makes him more insecure. I understand what your getting at

though..you can yell at me all you want if you want to.

Don't feel sad . You have made an accomplishment and you know what

the measurements say - nothing can take that away. My hubby has lost

20 pounds since the beginning of the year and says he has another 20 to

go - have I noticed - yes but if I had to guess 20 pounds I wouldn't

even be close. Does it make the 20 pounds any less - heck no! Am I

jealous - you bet your Taebo butt I am. It's no FAIR. I've been doing

Taebo for a year now with no inches or weight loss. Just wait until

that person who hasn't seen you in awhile does - then you will know

others are noticing. It is just like how my kids are growing up but the

relatives and friends that don't see them as much notice it far sooner

then I do! (((HUG)))

le

How do guys miss stuff like this? I feel sad now, cause I feel like I

have made NO progress at all now.

Ooooh! !

Don't be sad--In My Opinion This just Re-inforces the fact that DH

LOVES YOU SO VERY MUCH!

my husband--is JUST The same--when I was 28 lbs Heavier-I cried

and Moaned for 18 months--Do you think I am getting bigger? and he

would Hug me and say No! you're great!

Hum! Then as The weight came off--Am I looking better then?

Yes! you look great-You always look Great! LOL

NOW! I Go up to him after each workout--I am a REAL Pain in the

But!-and say! Look! Do I Look Stronger--you got it---Yes! You Look

great!

He loves you whatever you are/look like-and that is Good! BUT! Also!

Because he sees you every day--They just don't notice the Changes--NOW!

When you get new Clothes!!!!!!!!!!

THEN He will see a BIG Differance!

hugs to you!

KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

Ok ! i do not mean to yell at you, but I have to

disagree with what Nicci said....It just happened last

month! Let me tell you...if I would have slept with

someone last month my Dh and I would not even be

speaking enough to say he did not notice. I am not

saying you are a BAD girl, I sure do not know what

your relationship is like or your reasons. But I

certainly would not be complimenting my DH on his new

figure if he used it with another chick last month. in

fact......he would not be living in this house! Thats

just me, I am just trying to say that he is hurt

BIGTIME and it will take more than a month to make him

over it!

Yeah, I would be able to. I don't know, maybe we are the odd couple out and

we have a stronger relationship then other couples. But we immediatly

bounced back from what happened. In fact the " other guy " is allowed to come

into our house and he and Mike sit and talk. (In fact he was over here last

night to get some lettuse and carrots for his iguana) Mike doesn't hold

resentments against either one of us. The " other guys " fiance (sp?) comes

over too and all is well. Of course I wouldn't sleep with the guy again. It

was a mistake and something that shouldn't happened. Mike did make a

compliment to me today about my tummy....lol He said it was getting flatter.

,

it sounds like you and Mike have a wonderful relationship! when bad things

happen the important thing is to look at it after and learn from it, like

why you did it and how you can prevent it from happening again. i am happy

that you guys have been able to move on and get past it. that is what love

is all about :o)
