They do a functional analysis and then make a behavior plan. They also use descrete trials in teaching. emphasis on positive reinforcement and errorless teaching. Pat K Prayers plz I HATE snow! Our insurance covers it, and we are switching providers because the previous group worked primarily on Discrete Trial Training, with was not a good delivery method for our son. Also, the tutors were not very experienced, and supervision was lacking. It is outstanding. It gives the history of ABA, compares it to ALL the major therapy options out there, and then gives you detailed information and forms on how to create a home program for your child!! It inspired me more than the other book because it shows you what to do. It has tons of professional input from field experts. BUY IT!!! You will not regret it! P.
