Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My 10dd has OCD and we are going through a rough spot right now. It seems everything remotely " gross " is setting her off and causing her to feel that she is going to throw-up. She is homeschooled and she wanted to know about Hiroshima so we borrowed a couple of books. She is reading one about a young girl named Sadako who because of the bomb develops leukemia and dies. Sadako's illness provoked my daughters OCD and now she is off worrying and very anxious. School subjects (History and Science) contain information about war, death, disease, bodily functions, etc. so I don't know what to do? Do I force her to read it knowing it may set her off and thus disrupting the next two weeks of life? What do you do when OCD disrupts learning? Help! Thank you, Dawn
