I don't have a MIL (she passed away 2 years before Mike and I got married) A suggestion about photos for the weding though. Just have another family member take the pictures and when you take them to get developed go to a place that will blow up the pictures (8x10 etc) Just have someone with a pretty good camera take the pictures.
