Guest guest
Where do you see the words " people with a DR " .. DrAmysKids Forum for discussing all things that go along with having an autistic/ mercury poisoned child... gf/cf diet, supplements, chelation protocol, etc. A place for encouragement, and friendship! " Just a group called that. Does it particulary have to mean that you have a child with Dr. Amy? If so " Change " you heading! And I never said that the moderator was " terrible " your words not mine. And yes I am chelating on my own with ALA at this time untill my daughter's ped is ready to get involved. Guest guest
Felicia, I am sorry you didn't seem to understand from the title " DrAmysKids " ........ I think that kind of says it all, but maybe I do need to change it up for those that don't get it! Guest guest
Let me tell everyone up front AGAIN.... I am not advertising the list... someone else inadvertently put it on this list. I am trying my best to make a group where people feel comfortable to support and encourage each other... people who are all doing the same thing!! Not everyone doing chelation different ways... I mean everyone doing the same thing!!!!! I am sorry to all of you who feel " cheated " ... that was never , ever my intention. I am sitting here crying, because all I have tried to do was to help people. But , there are safety issues here too. Chelation can be very dangerous... especially when you don't have a doctor to order and perform all the necessary tests. To keep up with liver function, zinc levels... etc, etc., etc. ... if DMSA was NOT available as captomer and people didn't have access to it freely... I would not guard this list as I do. And also, there is a need of mine to feel as if I am protecting Dr. Holmes in some way. She is a wonderful person, and there is an aspect of patient / doctor confidentiality here!! I am not a relative of hers, and my only connection to her is that I feel she has given me hope where no one else has. I am a parent of an autistic child too.. I know your desperation and frustration. But I have to do what I think is best for all... If that means some people don't like me... well, then , some people just aren't gonna like me. Guest guest
Dear Maranie, I have asked to be added to the Dr. Amy list but I can't shake the cloudy feeling I have about it. . .the exclusivity of it. . .the fact that Dr. Amy listmembers are welcomed onto the Aut/Merc list where information is shared freely, but certain Aut/Merc members are not allowed access to the Dr. Amy list. I can't believe that there are any two parents on your list that are chelating their child the same way, even though they are following Dr. Amy's guidelines. The doctors themselves say that chelation is done individually, according to each child's make-up. The dose ranges are widespread and the supplemental needs are all, again, determined individually. Although we are all doing things differently, we all have the same goal and the same interest in helping one another and finding answers to our questions. I happen to be following Dr. Amy's and Andy Cutler's guidelines with special emphasis on my child's reactions and needs. Thus far things have been going very nicely and I have great hopes. This was not intended to be a slam or a gripe. Just sharing my thoughts and concerns. FW: [ ] Re: Dr. AMY's Kids > >> >> > >> >> > >> >> ><You want phone #'s, infor. Guest guest
, I have denied your request for membership. Not because of your opinion, but because as I've stated this list is for patients of Dr. Holmes, or patients that are following her protocol through another doctor. When/ If you get a doctor to follow Dr. Holmes' protocol, please come back and apply again. I am glad that everything is going so well for you and your child! I wish you continued success.....
